New Rumors

Anyone have anything to add to the list below? (I've compiled most crap I've heard today that is new)

Layoff number to be around 1200 folks

Everything is to be communicated on or before March 22nd

Don't expect an email announcing layoffs the next day (like Devon did)

Have had an overwhelming amount of older employees request / volunteer for severance (as stated you could in the FAQ sheet)

What else is floating around the halls, I sure am getting tired... they need to go ahead pull the bandaid off and let everyone move on.

Yep, manager "notification training" currently going on this week, should be wrapped up on Monday and then "it" should happen within 2 weeks. It would make sense to have it wrapped up by mid-month pay period/bonus time and then have a town hall meeting on the 22nd with a "Looking Forward" message.

It has to be March 10th. I can't imagine it's tomorrow or even the week after the 10th. Have to let things settle before having the town hall, otherwise it'll be insane.

Not today. There is supervisor "notification training" happening today and tomorrow, so maybe next week.

Any support for saying it's today?

You have to think here, if the company cuts 50% of its cap spending. The restructuring cost has already been decided and the head count has been turned in to HR. Just wait for the calls to start in the week or 2

Anybody else have training canceled on March 9th?

Way to be super vague! We all know it's coming. The question is when? And how much of a cut? Also, come on people act like adults and be respectful. No single group needs to be singled out or called out.
