I heard that SV site is closing down by May 2017. There will be a few more rounds of cuts and then the remaining folks will move over the hill to Cupertino.

It seems not many Seagate US people will be affected this time. Seems most reductions will be in Asia.

Few years back STX started to buy high cost test systems from outside to replace our own systems which didn't have any recurring costs . Now we are incuring millions of dollars every year. Example of another bad decision.

There is still lots of fats in Seagate Asia especially Singapore. Seems like that are that serious about job cuts . Which company can you see 3 senior managers for logistics in Singapore, 2 in China and 1 in Thailand ?
