Estée Lauder Plans Up To 10,000 Job Eliminations

The Estée Lauder Companies increased its planned job cuts. It now plans to eliminate 9,000 to 10,000 positions. This is an increase from the earlier estimate of 5,800 to 7,000 roles. Over 70% of these additional cuts affect point-of-sale demonstration roles. These reductions are part of a shift towards high-growth channels.

I can't wait for this restructuring to finally be over

It's been relentless, too much stress for way too long. At this rate, we'll all be wrecked by the time it's done. I wish they'd just ripped the bandage off in one go. Finding out bad news immediately hurts less than endless uncertainty. My heart goes out to the Blaine people, but at least they have answers. I truly wish them the best of luck finding good jobs.


Cosmetic hours being used for the backend of Belk

Has anyone noticed the cosmetic hours that are partially paid for from Clinique and Estee Lauder being used for the backend of the store? They will schedule someone without letting them know usually they can't get in to the reflexes so it's a no show then those hours are diverted to other areas anyone eles notice this in other Belk stores? It's been reported but nobody does anything to them.

Cosmetics company has approved layoffs of 3,200 staff based on a previously disclosed restructuring plan and may reduce head count by another 3,800, with expected restructuring charges of up to $1.6 billion.
