How to tell if Machinist are smart or d-mb
The smart Machinist knows there’s going to be big-time payback dished out by Boeing once Monday’s contract acceptance vote passes, with layoffs bound to announced in January. Knowing their heads might be on the chopping block, the smart ones are... — read more
Boeing employees
Boeing employees should’ve got rid of the IAM 751 union and the international union when they sold you out 10 years ago/join the teamster union they representative there people and not the Big corporations.
There are only two options:
Take it or take it. Boeing CEO delivered ultimatum to Machinists. Union leaders believe him Otherwise next offer (if any) will go backwards CEO said according to the Seattle times.. Leaders should make Voting cards to have "accept" and "accept". — read more

The next offer
The next offer after this is rejected is good. You won't get your pension back, but Boeing will add 8 years of service to anyone vested at the 105 and keep it closed. That one is expected to pass. You are almost there guys.
your last pay raise for a long long time
However on a positive note Boeing increased the 401K it was 50% match up to 8%. I highly doubt there will be anything close to 38% GWI on the next contract or 10 years or more this will be your last pay raise for a long long time in joy 🤣
I predict...
a "Yes" vote. Although no pension or 40%...but members didn't save(as they were told to save) so they are struggling to continue... Company just got 21B..so they can continue the fight 21 months

Is either next week or next year
If strike doesn't end next week (Friday 11/8), it won't make sense (for the company) to end it this year... Why would they pay so much holiday time and increase the size of next year bonus for so little working time. So next week is the last... — read more
Lost wages
At 7 weeks.. 7weeksX40hoursX42perhour=$11700 lost pay Now add COBRA, and lost 401K... 11700+(1500 cobra family X 2 months) + lost 401K contribution (10%)= Lets say 16.5K because this will impact your next year's bonus..
This Strike is not going to end pretty. There’s going to be a price to pay and it’s going to fall heavily on the Machinist

How is boeing going to back date or retro pay pension

When we get the pension back do you think they will back date it to when we started working for Boeing?
Now that Boeing is flush with money it only makes sense that we get the pension for the x amount of years that it has been gone.

If you are Machinist on strike. You could change careers as a Coal miner and make as much as you do now at Boeing or even better
You would have to pack up and leave Seattle and head to West Virginia. All Coal mines in WV are looking for miners now. The pay is pretty good and there's plenty of overtime. Be warned though, it’s tough work being. Coal miner.
