Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

What we gained

8 weeks no pay equals a loss of 15% of our wages for 2024
8 weeks of strike means that our 38% raise over 4 years is really 35% when you subtract the wages we lost.
We gained zero PTO
We gained zero progression
We still have no pension
We gained overdue bills
We gained stress in our families

Some of us will gain an awesome burn barrel for our backyard.

Congrats on the gains

You gained some fighting experience cupcake. Now lick you tiny little wound and get back in the ring of life.

If there was a way to strip the pensions away from the old timers we would do it in a second. Also, the $12k signing bonus is more than I would have made staying at work for the 7 weeks, so it was basically a free vacation.

My burn barrel will go nicely with my outdoor bar area..
I will label it with the strike date also. I'm proud of it. My first strike ever.

Hey ya old coot. I am sorry you are financially illiterate.

You are right, I am young. Do you know how much I could make by my retirement investing 15% of my yearly salary?

Pi-s on your pensions! That's the old way, just like you.

I gained a 12$ raise from start
Weekly PTO instead of yearly
Already at 13 years so work your 6 years like everyone else
To he-l with a pension
Well you should have paid in advance like others to prepare for this strike

I voted Yes for me not you not for anyone.
Su-k it up go to work or get another job crybaby.

40% voted no; they'll be retiring in 4 years (you won't get your pension; we don't care for you when you are no longer able to work)
10% will be gone, no matter yes or no (does not matter, who cares about you?)
50% said yes (you voted no before but now you are scared; you are treacherous but don't worry we only need you on our side for now; been there done that)
Great win! Congrats Kelly

Dec 7 will be the day all the low time seniority folks get WARNs.

Think I'm wrong, wanna vote it down.

Come back to this post in 2 months and tell me I'm wrong.

Pension has gone out of style(too expensive!). 401k is the norm.
