He was supposed to be in India until the end of the week. But he's in the office today. Gut punch.

I don't know what to do. I'll feel pretty dumb about cancelling if all parties still have jobs at the end of the day, but it also feels weird to go about business as usual.

They're the consulting company brought in to decide our fates. They're basically "The Bobs" of Office Space. Or blame the hiring managers who allowed Target to get bloated in the first place. It's not our fault they hire me too many people.

When will our fearless HR leader address the masses? Can't wait to hear how she spins this at the FNM (assuming that doesn't get cut too). Does HR have incentives tied to.

Anyone have insight on cuts to HR teams (HROC, comp, L&D, etc)?

We have over $10 billion in revenues. We have 330 people working in corporate. 10K, 12K or 17K employees (all three numbers were quoted here) in Target HQ simply blows my mind. Good look to all of you.

I saw a local story about 40 bus drivers being replaced by contractors in a Minneapolis suburb, nothing about Target though

I did a test and see that it's in the sent folder but I don't see it on the other end. Probably just a glitch but it's weird that Target would trap outbound emails.

It's so crazy that many millions have been wasted on Accenture/McKinsey/Bain/Etc projects that went nowhere that it's mind-boggling. I really hope that 'consultant' becomes a four-letter word at Target

A forensics lab? Why does Target need a Forensics Lab - they're a retailer. Just wait, it will be ugly.

Last week, the directors in my area indicated that they really didn't know the plan - I believed they were being authentic, but checking out their calendars and they have big chunks of time blocked on Tuesday.
