Expat managers == credit hoggers, they don't care about the long term benefits of the employees and the company. Especially the Europeans.

Quit the worrying and suffering from stress there are no more layoffs planned for this year in Schlumberger. The employee/revenue ratios are fine for all departments. Take it easy good people

Looks like they could get rid of these non revenue generating subsidies and ease up on layoffs. I personally don't see any usefulness to keep Westerngeco, Smith, etc. Any thoughts?

looks like this has been going on every week, few people here and there just to keep management happy they're doing something.

There is a way all the laid off employees who are stock holders can get these @#$#@ back. I got a proxy card and get to vote on election of board members and the executive compensation package. VOTE NO on all the recommendations.
