Breaking: Murthy is going to announce "headcount" reduction next week.
Leaked info from the company that is leading this layoff effort. Roughly 5k job cuts in the US and 3k hirings at low cost centers, effectively bringing headcount reduction number to 2k.
Bottom line: Too many middle managers & useless status collectors
Let's admit: We all know that the long chain of managements and extra layers over layers of hierarchies in some departments, is something that everybody notices when he comes to Q. Most of them don't have any real outputs other status collecting.
