This place is so not worth the hype

It seemed promising at first glance but that's where it stopped as well. As soon as I started working I regretted it. Insane hours, laughable pay, and an environment that drains the life out of you. It's my second job and all I got from here is a... — read more

"break up like GE to release value..."

How did that really work out for GE Aerospace? Last time I looked GE Aero has underperformed the market and peers with revenue declining more than 3% per year for each of the last three years. Over the last ten years they are down 50% in revenue... — read more

Unexpected one-on-one with my manager next week

This isn't something that has happened before. Anyone have a clue what it could be about? My mind's racing through every worst-case scenario. I’m completely spiraling over here.

With the way things are now in the entire Aero Industry could it be possible that HON might start shopping around for state or city

tax incentives, or cash if HON agreed to relocate from Arizona. The top cities or states I would refuse to relocate to from Arizona include but not all are. Chicago, or anywhere in the state of Illinois Detroit, or anywhere in Michigan Saint... — read more

Automation plus UOP combo

With all other SBUs being sold off or spun out, only thing that remains is the Automation+UOP combo. That would be some strange combo. Or is UOP also being sold/spun out, anyone know? It does have a very high flying CEO.

What is going on in BA?

Aero Spinoff - employee impacts?

Hello all, I am an engineer within Honeywell aerospace. I saw the news about the upcoming spinoff. I am very ignorant as to what this will mean for me and my engineering peers. Is this a soft signal of layoffs to come? What other possible negative... — read more

Guess the new name for Aero?

With the high probability that Aero is going to be spun off in the coming months, what’s the consensus on a new name? If we’re sold, best guess as to who buyer will be?

Pension resources are pathetic.

I’m in the process of rolling over my legacy Honeywell pension, and wow. The online resources are full of dead links, out of date phone numbers, references to an app that is no longer used, and just overall pretty cr-ppy. If you’re sitting on a... — read more

Inefficient system

When I started at Honeywell, I didn’t expect to figure out within just a few months that ten percent of the people do 90 percent of the work - at least in my area. It’s like there are several managers for every single worker, and the balance between... — read more

No accurate information anymore.

I used to look at this site a lot. When there was a layoff on an rif. This place would be accurate. Not 100% of the time but it was a lot better than it is now. I read stuff that's going to happen here. Never happens. If you want to find out what's... — read more

Performance metrics gone wrong

Performance metrics are supposed to highlight who’s excelling and who’s falling behind. But at Honeywell, they’ve twisted the whole concept. Instead of rewarding top performers, it’s become a sneaky way to target employees and push them onto PIPs... — read more
