Help me understand how we can commit to doing a national event and yet we are told we are on a travel and spending freeze. Don’t spend money…..but have a rally and breakfast. I would rather spend money on my team instead of a wasteful and unnecessary event. This should not be done while we are in the 100 days of summer and have 36 other competing priories. But, the teams that dream up this event don’t have other things to do……great way to waste $ on something either no ROI. The frontline don’t even get awarded and they are who does the work. Do Better!!!!!

Ok, now the VRP details are out. What’s next, another reorg, job posting freezes and more unwarranted promotions to backfill the tenured folks leaving. Oh wait, don’t forget the travel freeze! Buckle up!
No discretionary travel any more
A coworker was reimbursed $1k every quarter to fly to our office.
That is money that could be going into BF/JF/DF pockets.
Debt + Poor Management = Layoffs
The geniuses leading us led to this:
Auditing firm BDO USA has conducted layoffs and suspended non essential travel to cut costs while managing a $1.3 billion ESOP related loan from Apollo Global Management.
Bloomberg reporting cited by Yahoo Finance says the roughly 9 percent interest debt, reduced by 100 basis points after a June 30 refinancing, is pressuring multiple departments including tax, audit, and advisory. BDO declined comment on client matters.
The firm also faces scrutiny from a proposed ESOP class action alleging workers overpaid to join the plan, and reputational fallout from First Brands Group’s bankruptcy after BDO provided a clean audit opinion.
Despite headwinds, a source said the firm remains financially stable and continues to optimize operations. BDO reported $2.89 billion in revenue for the year ended December 31 and in September announced plans to hire more than 1,300 people from HORNE.

Travel Cut again - no change
so travel banned again to give money back. Sales are not good for Foods. Also a source has given me the heads up that all have to start to come in the office 4 days a week now except Global roles ie the R&D teams!
