Jeans week for layoffs

Looks like a 'jeans week' to coincide with layoffs in Bville. Guess that's one way to offset drain on morale lol

The solution is more safety moments

In case you can't read exit signs (it's a well kept secret that many in ConocoPhillips are illiterate). Also, we need more signs to hold onto hand rails. There are dangers lurking at the carpet seams too

Time To Get Out of Here.

ELT is determined to rescue their 5-year legacy and will take (are taking) the company down in that effort. During their 5-year watch: Shareholder value has been destroyed Shareholder dividend income has been slashed. Employee and family livelihoods... — read more

Fire Sale 2.0

First we sell San Juan for half of the book vale and now we sell Barnett for a third of the book value. I know gas isn't worth much these days but we sure seem to be destroying value. Will Anadarko go for a quarter of the book value? RL says no fire... — read more

Everyone can tell something is coming down the line. Little hints here and there from superiors and such but nobody knows for sure.

How does Canada BU still exist ??

What is left in Canada is just peanuts. How come they have not shut that BU down and rolled the minimum resources to run the remaining ops to another BU. Just curious.

Alaska?

Awful quiet up there.

Attrition

A few less bodies in Lower 48 over the last week. Unfortunately all it does it get the size of the company closer to where it should be, so don't get your hopes up on the prospect of retention bonuses or RSUs or promotions or raises.

Time to wake up

Keep dreaming and gulp that koolaid of $70 bbls by 1Q18. I guess it is easy to be strong when your in denial of the current state of affairs, along with the futures. It was good while it lasted, now it is time to wake up. A secular shift is in... — read more
