US Audit professionals- BEWARE.

US Audit professionals - Be aware. Managers here only care about themselves, have no soft skills & will throw you under the bus in a heartbeat. Everything internal is highly political & if you point anything out or take issue with anything, you will... — read more

Do NOT come to work here

Managers are inexperienced & uncaring. Executives are the same. Don't put your career on the line to come here. Expectations are not realistic and you're expected to be a mind reader.

The Executive Exodus continues

It finally happened. Barry is retiring along with several other exec "retirement" announcements. There is still a hiring freeze (at least for the masses, we can only take internal candidates) but somehow despite having qualified internal candidates... — read more

Rumored layoffs

Will there be layoffs soon or not? I keep hearing people mention more cuts sometimes soon but nobody knows when exactly or where. I'm starting to hope it's just fear talking and we're not in any imminent danger. I'd be grateful for any concrete info... — read more

Hiring at TD- Jobs

Hi- What's the deal with the jobs on the TD careers site? I see tons of jobs being reposted, and no-one is reaching out to people applying. Are they looking for unicorns or do the jobs not really exist? What's the ket to getting a job at TD ?

Learn from the history

If you read through this chain of posts you will see posts from 2016 to the present about TD's layoffs. It's not a place to grow or even feel secure if you need that then keep looking.

Something was bound to give

You can't be put on the sidelines for any US bank deals for 3 to 5 years, have to pay huge fines for failed merger deals and regulatory infractions and think that there will be no impact. Unfortunately, it is the lower levels that will lose their... — read more

No more professionalism

They equate terrible micromanaging with caring for the place. No, it will never be the same. What happened to professionalism, where did it go?

Here we go again

First comes the hiring freeze and next comes the layoffs meanwhile they continue to hire for senior positions outside the company while overlooking their internal strong performers. Eventually those strong performers will realize that the low... — read more

Working at TD Bank

I'm just curious what it's like working at TD Bank, especially if you're not in a public facing role in the US.

And so it begins

More layoffs and now the company is starting these quarterly check-ins so now I get reminded each quarter why there are no growth opportunities for existing resources yet the continue to hire externally for higher level positions. While the... — read more

Laid Offs due to "Banking For the Future"

TD in the US were talking about Banking For the Future, which is more digital and less roles in general. If it wasn't for Covid they would already done this. Yesterday they finalized changes in the Loan Servicing side in the US, which a decent... — read more

Major Layoffs coming in 2021

Too many duplicate positions (VP/AVP/Sr. Management) after June 2020 reorg

Why are we still letting people into the branches?

Alright so first off they as in district leadership tell branch managers to go outside and guide traffic; corporate properties even ordered extra traffic cones and reflective vests to aide with this activity. Then an email is sent from corporate... — read more
