Thread regarding Toronto-Dominion Bank layoffs

Here we go again

First comes the hiring freeze and next comes the layoffs meanwhile they continue to hire for senior positions outside the company while overlooking their internal strong performers. Eventually those strong performers will realize that the low performers will continue to keep their jobs due to the hiring freeze and no one wanting to lose head count and the morale will sink so low that the strong performers will just quiet quit or outright quit.

It has definitely happened where many of the strong performers have left TD. The company had laid off a large number of underperforming employees as well so that is good but the rest of us have to pick up the workload and with the 3Q loss from the $2.6B provision for fines, I have a feeling bonuses will be impacted and all of us picking up the extra work will not reap any benefits which will cause the next round of resignations and the vicious cycle continues.

i already did quit... and so did 3 other tellers i worked with. new management came in, harassed me for not meeting sales goals and then cut my hours, while i was literally in the middle of struggling to find housing. higher ups are apathetic and and micromanage employees. it is a dead end career for anyone who isn't willing to be a yes man.
