This is NOT being handled the right way
Today one of my colleagues was let go, and of all the people at Target she was the LAST person who should have been fired. She embodied Fast Fun and Friendly to her core. She stayed late every day. She did more coffees than anyone I've ever seen. She... — read more
It is not the end - it's just gonna be different
Target folks - take a deep breadth. I can relate to the anger, frustration, fear, and disappointment you are feeling. I was there last year, these decisions are made very high up - less surgical than you think. It's NOT personal, there are too many... — read more
Thanks Corporate Greed
Thanks Corporate greed. You have successfully destroyed the dream of thousands of hard working Americans. We work long hours a day to support our families and try and live a better life than our preceeding generation. We put in effort and innovation... — read more
Reading the reactions here, its clear to me there's quite a few layoff "virgins".
Please take it from me, an old shanghai whore who will share a bit of bedroom wisdom as I take a long drag on a post-coital cigarette before I stamp it out and mash it with my layoff whore 6" stiletto heels.... Yes, you'll be OK. A layoff is alot... — read more
DTO Layoffs?
Has Karl Reibs or Paul Peoples been let go yet? They sure got us. Has anyone in DTO got, or will get layed off tomorrow?
This is the transcript of a meeting today, captured on record from my phone
Hi everyone, As a DMG that knows they're going to be impacted tomorrow, I recorded this during a meeting today from my iPhone. It should offer some insight into the type of conversations that are happening and how everyone is being treated like a... — read more
Does everyone get invited to the same room?
Our department just received invites for a meeting tomorrow morning. All my peers got it and it is for the same room. I am almost positive we are not all getting let go. So how does it work when the invites go out? Do they invite everyone to the same... — read more
What would happen if all of us who own Target stock in our 401k just went online tomorrow and dumped it.
Imagine the message that would send. We are shareholders. We should have a voice in how this company is run.
Brian "The Butcher". Strategy or just habit?
Less than seven months on the job and already on track to eliminate over 20,000 jobs. Impressive. He's already breaking his old records. I wonder if the $1.3 million base salary makes it all worth it?
Tuesday at Target India
Its Tuesday morning in TI. People are really tensed since yesterday. No signs till now , however most of the work has stopped as we dont know whos there and whos not.. What does the grapevine say? Will Km dm group be hit today? What departments?
Setup an email for right after the meeting to everyone.
If they lay you off, tell the whole company, but nothing that will mess up your severance. You can always stop the email if they are not letting you go.

Senior Humanity Specialist
Brian Cornell has shown his true colors. Slash and burn regardless of individuals' ability. A lot of the people cast off today are among the best leaders we have....had. The heartless way in which this is being executed indicates BC isn't interested... — read more
Get it over with
I kind of hope I'm cut loose. Get out there and find a company who values my contributions versus rewarding a bunch of schmoozers. IMHO that is what is killing Target this culture of doing little and expecting much.
Meritocracy at Target
Office politics has a higher power than meritocracy. I think meritocracy is a concept totally unknown to "Target's people in leadership positions". I say it in quote because there is no real leadership.
Ex-employee's look from the outside in and back out?
Feel bad for all of the current Target employees. I have to say, I think all of you could have seen this coming. I worked for the company for a long enough time to figure out the ins and outs of the way the "politics" work in this place. Your direct... — read more

Target Credit Union?
What do I do if I get laid off and Target Credit Union is my only bank? Will I have time to close out my account? I don't have checks so it's not like I can write a check for all my money to a new bank. Ugh.

Just saw a non-director walk out of TPS with a box.
She was with her husband. Crushing. Reality sinking in. Start reaching out to recruiters. There is life beyond these lakes if you can afford to get out of MN.
The workday is over and Targegeddon is nigh. What should we be looking for on our Outlook calendar?
Is everybody getting a 9am meeting or just the raptured? :-/ Will email be immediately blocked? What can you suss out from the invites?
PMs and BAs
I heard this week that once again they are sending PM and BA roles to Target India. Clearly the PM function is something that Target doesn't care about or doesn't understand. If they need only a Project Coordinator who checks the boxes, yes, it makes... — read more
