I'm trying to understand what the reason is, is it that the leadership is lacking ideas or the changes that this company needs are considered too much of a risk? Perhaps some other reasons? Sometimes I feel like I'm wasting my time here.
NVDA Grace CPU
NVDA’s Grace CPU using Arm is the final nail in the coffin for Intel and Amd. King of GPU is now the king of CPU. Time to short the stocks of these two losers.
Getting a new job
What transferable skills can technicians mention on their resume? I would say the hardest working people at intel are the technicians themselves, who bring insurmountable support. There is no real career path for a lot of these folks, especially the... — read more
Intel the retirement home of industry has beens
Too many management layers and redundant managers. Growth is buried six feet under. Way too many i-ndians and their natives
Sad days for Intel
Our business strategy seems to be leading us down a path of destruction. Instead of growth and prosperity, we are witnessing the slow and agonizing demise of all that some of us have worked so hard to build. It is truly disheartening to witness... — read more
Some great views of this company
"TSMC has learned to dance with 400 partners. Intel has always danced alone." “A foundry person leader who literally has no foundry experience.” “Intel cannot find anyone credible enough to lead intel foundry group so they promote a supply chain... — read more
Intel knowingly lied to me in interview
They lied about what my role would involve. My duties are incredibly tedious and it's becoming clear that what I was told in the interview is not going to materialize. My colleagues said they do it all the time because they have such a hard time... — read more
Fate of AXG
With Raja gone, AXG in reorg, what's the fate of the employees?
New IFS lead
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/newsroom/news/ifs-march-2023-news.html Looks like another Intel lifer with zero foundry experience. Good luck.
Are we looking at reduced severance?
There are many ways to cut costs and while layoffs are one of them, they cost money. I’m worried that Pat and his entourage will realize that they are paying too much (even if it's less than most other tech companies) to get rid of people and decide... — read more
Time to switch career ?
I'm from Folsom and joined Intel as H/W engineer after undergrads and after working for 3 years feels like I'm in a career rut and current economic situation is not suitable for a job switch. Should I consider an MBA degree. I'm pretty sure my... — read more

How anonymous is "TheLayoff"
Lets legally find out!!!
The Layoff = Censorship
The Layoff site censors all pro Intel posts while leaving irrellevant posts which mindlessly bash Intel. I have documented over 20 posts with screen shots where a post deemed too positive was deleted. I will continue to document this behavior. This... — read more
Lack of transparency
Being truthful with employees is a hallmark of good management. Yet it seems that Intel is doing the opposite by intentionally withholding information about what's truly going on from us. This lack of transparency causes many of us to start feeling... — read more

Just split the company already!
We all know where things are headed. Just do it now and admit that IDM2.0 is flaming hot disaster. IDM as a business model is past its expiration date. Intel should have seen this coming decades ago. But that required visionary CEOs.
AMD brings in ex-Intel engineers on contract
Desperate to find and fix those nasty memory controller bugs plaguing Genoa, AMD brought in some retired Intel engineers to save the day. I'm guessing they just recreated the tool they originally developed at INTC. Heck, they probably just... — read more

Do we forsee any layoffs in Design Enablement?
I see that design enablement is one of the only groups at Intel that is hiring right now. However, I still feel DE is bloated and needs to cut heads to allocate resources effectively. Do you all think that there will be a layoff soon in DE?
Germany: No more money for Intel fabs
We can still build new fabs if there are more paycuts, right?
Job expectations

When's the last time we've had US layoffs?
Everything I've been seeing lately was in other countries. Even the most comprehensive list of 2023 layoffs that I could find doesn't have Intel on it. I'm not asking this because I think we're safe, I'm asking because I believe we're long overdue a... — read more

Is gfx the last hope for intel?
They are spending on gfx like they think it’s going to succeed. What say you? Polishing a tu-d or diamond in the dumpster fire?
No Magdeburg site
All those new hires are going to be laid off. Intel begging for another 5 billion and not getting it. Say goodbye to Intel beggingland. Only marketing jobs will remain here, the rest will be shifted back.
