Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

It's not about cutting costs at every corner

What we need is a clear direction and focus if we want to come out on top again. We should stop resorting to layoffs all the time and instead work on expanding our offerings and customer base as well as exploring new technologies and approaches that can take us to the next level.

We should focus on investing in tools and resources that can enhance our efficiency and effectiveness, instead of getting rid of high earners, which only lowers them. How hard is it to see that?

Unless it gets bailout money. :-)

you have the most beautiful and audacious missions of all time... you are to enter the IFS space and try to overtake the best manufacturing company on the plant, TSMC. You are to do this with inferior products, higher cost structure, burdensome overhead and complex processes and a DEI overlay that insures you have inferior workers to get the job done.

How much more clear can it be for you?

Lol. It is the answer!!

Intel has more employees than Nvidia, TSMC and AMD combined.

You do the math….

Hey hey stop with this common sense... the goal here is for third world management to preserve their petty empires and squeeze as much money out of the Titanic before bailing. Keeping the wife and cousins on the books is a bonus.

Intel is losing money. A company can't lose money forever without going out of business. AMD with much fewer employees than Intel is kicking Intel's a-s. It doesn't take a genius to figure out Intel either doesn't have the right people or the people aren't doing the right work. Instead of complaining about layoffs, you should figure out how to make the company profitable first. Otherwise everyone will be losing their jobs when the company goes out of business.
