Declare your possible or perceived conflict of interest. If I was your manager, I will take you off from the interview panel by asking someone else for the group to interview the applicant. If he/she will be your direct report that will an issue so you need HR.

If they are from the same village as the hiring manager or director/VP, they get immediately hired without an interview.
Well IBM was pretty bad with nepotism last I checked. Unfortunately, there is also alot of racial bias, people hiring fellow Indians or Asians for example. It's ironic that Intel preaches DEI or DIE when they have entire teams and departments composed of one race. Given the ratio of the population to the department ratio... something isn't working right...

Lol! Intel is probably the only company in the Nasdaq that has the highest level of nepotism. People hire their cousins, nephews all the time. I don't think they even have an anti nepotism policy.
