@OP Stop by the clinic on the way to ask HR about this, and ask them about that cringy rash.

@ed Memory is like the siren song of mermaids, luring Intel to the rocky shore.
Yes, the profits can be huge, then come the losses. It has always been a terrible business, because of how rapidly ASP collapse, so best left to the companies that can keep up with the technology (at scale).
Dilettantes like Intel never seem to get it.
Z bar may well be a good business, but the chance of it lasting more than 1 very short product cycle are nil.
To be profitable enough to pay for the next huge capital investment needed to be sustainable, can not be built on one-hot wonders. It doesn't matter how good those ideas might be.
All trolls and bots on this thread.
@hv Look at JPY now.
It may be a situation where the bond market is merely pressuring the government to relent with such extreme monetary policy, but if it goes beyond that then see where that leads.
I got many pounds of PMs, but that won't make up for the loss of everything else, so by no means am I hoping for real price discovery here and now.
Unfortunately, we don't get to choose the timing of such things.
Can't we just kick the can a bit further down the road? Let the Millennials and Gen Z deal with it.
Yes OP, and no one listens to grunge any more either.
Call me boomer, but I remember when J-Lo was much better looking, and went around dressed like a girl.
Somewhere Ben Affleck is brushing his tongue with lysol.
Ok Boomer.

Work harder and longer and pay tour taxes to support our social security system.

This clown pretty much sums up JNPR, all hype and no substance, all about perception

I'm glad I bailed out when I did, and yes, the grass is greener outside of that toxic hellhole.
I feel sorry for those who remain, putting up with this disingenuous, slimy sales BS, and all the corporate sheep who are instructed to comment on LinkedIn with all these cheesy, pre-canned comments, “wow gamechanger, the only AI native Powered Shimmy”
Rant over
For me it’s summer analysts and a lot of grads. In the grand scheme of things they may not be the biggest expense, but just knowing any of them make as much as they do to stand in coffee queues all day, have intro meetings with anyone that’s unlucky enough to be asked and dillydally round our offices wondering what to do … it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Especially when they get paid more than a lot of Associates, VPs and in some cases SVPs, all of whom are experienced hires who have done up to 10 years of actual work.
People might reply me saying ‘well actually students / grads at BNY aren’t even paid as much as they would at other firms’ - but I’ve met enough of them at BNY that get warped by being paid this much this early. Less than a year in, some expect bonuses, pay raises and promotions #cringe
Today's Company Meeting Notes
Broadcom - No surprises here; the current execs haven't the slightest clue about what's actually going to happen and it is pointless to ask them.
SEC Fine - Thank you Mr. Magoo for the non-answer answer. Let's be honest about what it was. It's called "sand-bagging" and nearly every public company in our industry does some form of it in order to pre-make the next quarter's numbers. The company will slap the hands of any individual sales reps who practice it, but have no problem doing it at a corporate level. The bet paid off, and an $8 Million cost is a steal for getting away with it.
Zane - his were precisely the comments of a CFO who has checked out and is just counting down the days to his Change-In-Control payout. You were a good little Dell soldier, now go enjoy your reward.
Ray - poor guy was actually probably the one most worth listening to today, but drew the Audio/Video short straw. You would think a leading tech company would have done a dry run of the meeting.
Sumit - no...just...no... #cringe
Betsy - every single dollar we have given this person is a waste. She literally says nothing...ever. It's like you are passing gas through a human face.
Vijay - that's his name, right? Doesn't matter, at least not for long. The truth about DEI's negative effects on enterprise value is starting to come out, and this role will be gone almost as fast as vRAM pricing.
Hat tip to the guy who asked why only two races were on stage during the DEI virtue signaling, but the truth is that Latinos like him have too good of a work ethic to be lumped in with that group of never-were's.
