Rumor out of Norway is the Schlumberger is going to build 160 land rigs. Using Sense and Letourneau drilling systems.
Schlumberger also bought T and T engineering group that specializes in land rig design. This information is coming from a top level source, and was mentioned at a town hall meeting in Norway. This could be good news for everyone in The DS group.

Overheard two VPs talking about Thomas Rd being shut down this past Friday and work to be transferred to Patterson. Is this true? Also learned from my wife's HR friend that Drilling will have its batch of layoffs in December. Anyone hear the same?
