Consultants means Conspiracy of Cameron, we need James Bond 007 and frisk and squeeze the testicles of most of the IT Managers to see why so many employees are rolled off but not contractors yet. Cameron HR is Bull Shit and Cameron IT is Human Shit. CIO has to clean both the SHITS, it stinks a lot in ccd and in travelers.
Of course IT sucks, mgmt pays Ford $$ and you expect Bentley type of service?? Get real!
Well, of course IT sucks. Mgmt does not spend enough $$$ to support them. You pay Ford $$$ then you don't get Bentley type service...simple as that.
Even date there are many Cameron IT managers & Leads favor Deloitte and other third party consultants, because these managers are Ex-Deloitte and they get a cut both from the Consultant and also from the respective consulting company. IT is full of corruption and favoritism.
The reason our SAP systems and overall IT infrastructure are the way they are is not entirely because of IT but because Cameron never had the common sense to hire a bona fide CIO. Apparently when we finally did decide to hire a CIO we turned down one of the better candidates because the CEO's secretary didn't like him.
Kind of difficult to flip the switch and make changes when you have shit to work with from the beginning.
Optimus was the worst thing ever. I cant understand why any black belt or manager in the company would approve of making SAP way less efficient.
Its like the roles they made have no bases on the reality of what functions people really need.
Then everything has more errors, takes longer, and requires extra unnecessary approvals which slows everything down.
I originally thought legacy was horrible, but optimus tasks take twice as long or more. With optimus, the only way to be as efficient as legacy is to hire more people. In legacy one person could do everything within minutes. I dont get it.

Ticket counts actually went down since the requirement for an admin password. People cannot just install whatever they want and ask IT to troubleshoot unauthorized software. It's also made viruses hard to get through now because a lot need to have administrator access to install and spread. And I agree with CAMENG. If people knew how much IT used Google to figure out their problems they'd probably be out of a job.
Shut the sh(IT) . IT is shit because we have 80% Indians in IT and many of them are so unprofessional and uncouth, I always wonder do we have a proper HR hiring policy in place or not, are they illegal immigrants. But there are quite a few qualified Indians around, that are so knowledgeable and pleasant to work with.

I bet since they locked computers down, their tickets probably went from 1 a week to 50 per day.

There are a lot of people who work at Cameron (including the engineering group I belong to) where people struggle to fix their own damn problems related to IT. Shit isn't working? Check your f---ing wires and restart your f---ing computers! 99% of the whining and complaining would go away if people would Google search solutions and or try fixing things that are simple themselves.
How computer illiterate are some of you? If you don't know the basics of computers than f---ing learn!
I dont know what Cameron is supposed to do. What sucks even worse is this deloitte company they hired. They are just as bad and clueless as Cameron IT was. Deloitte is a huge waste of money.
