Not true Ihuh. The taxes will be at the same rate as what was deducted on a normal payroll check. There will be no deductions for benefits or 401k so the net will actually be greater than a normal check.
Regardless of how many weeks you get expect almost half of your totaled severance package to be reduce due to taxes. Payment is fairly quick but it really depends on how fast your HR could process your paperwork.
I was promised 2 weeks of severance, but I've yet to receive it. Has anyone else received their package? How long does it take after you accept?

That sounds about right for the damn cheapskates.
I believe its 6 weeks max..depending years of service
