Topics regarding layoffs at Wells Fargo & Co.

Today (12/31) is my last day!

As I met the eligibility to do so, I chose to retire and get away from all of the dysfunction. To those of you holding out for 2/5 for bonus, brace yourself; the demands to get 'priority' work done will be unlike anything you have ever experienced... — read more

Audit layoff question.

Did audit dump people a few months ago? I noticed that a person I know has vanished from Skype. If it was a displacement, it would have been more than 2 months ago because she's not zz'd.

Food for thought: Maybe the people who criticize the current management team the most are the people who care about Wells Fargo the most.

After reading someone’s characterization of David Kowach on another post, it made me realize how much I miss working in a team environment. We worked hard and we worked together and we put in long hours and loved every minute of it. We trusted our... — read more

WFC posts are telling

Compared to other company layoff posts WFC by far is the most pitiful, juvenile, whiny and unprofessional. Not all but definitely more than average.

I have an idea. Let’s outsource the whole company.

The idea is to make as much money for shareholders as possible. Wells only cares about cost-cutting and profits, the more the better. Well then, let’s put our money where our mouths are. Why is it a good idea to outsource only basic IT... — read more

HR layoffs

I guess with so many layoffs HR staff won't have much to do except frame and harass employees let they get fired.

Just letting you all know

If you only have business related degrees like finance, economics, MBAs or anything else, you no longer have job security. Why? because we are increasingly moving to a more a technology centered time where everything is dominated by tech. If you only... — read more

I really hope...

That 2021 will be a better year. We were challenged in 2020, as individuals and as a company. My family had hard time, but we'll bounce back. I hope that Wells becomes a better company next year. More employee centric. It'll be hard as I am not... — read more

Career Services

If you have been displaced, do you HAVE to talk to the career services advisors? Or is that just a tool to help? From the emails they’ve sent me it almost feel a little pushy and now I’m not sure if I must talk to them otherwise the company will cut... — read more

risk layoffs

I worked in risk supporting security all their plans were terrible and had to be redone I think the risk team should be offshored to Mexico.

Pandemic Market Changes

Tech stocks on a huge upswing. Wells wasted years hiding from it. Maybe it wont be too late if they start moving with a sense of urgency. Never hide from the future, it wins every time. Be careful, old things will fail and old ways of doing things... — read more

Horrible new hires

Looks like we're sc-aping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to new hires. To say that incompetence reigns supreme would be an understatement. It just goes to prove that any person worth their salt is staying as far away from Wells Fargo as they... — read more

Unused pto

Anybody knows when they will pay the unused pto hours of those displaced?

Stack ranking - here is what my manager told me

I was told by my manager that stack ranking will be across the entire department, irregardless of job title. So in a group of 650 or so people, in IT, everyone will fall into the same stack. I would have expected it to be by job title, but was told... — read more

Where's growth?

All we seem to be doing is selling and closing stuff and cutting people. Barely an acquisition in sight. Most of the people who leave on their own are never replaced, not to mention those who were laid off. Is it just me or has WF given up on growth... — read more
