Samsung Exynos 7 Octa Processor "will be expanded to other products throughout the year”

Experience with working at MediaTek
I wanted to see if anyone had experience working for MediaTek. I've been offered a position with MediaTek, I'd get a slight (8%) overall comp bump, most other things would remain pretty much the same (responsibilities, type of work, etc.) - I am a... — read more

QCOM hiding true number of layoffs by encouraging people to voluntarily quit?
Just heard from a friend at QCOM who says that they are offering some people a choice of two options: Take a package and leave the company. Since this is voluntary, it would count as a voluntary quit, not a layoff. Perform a task for a period of time... — read more

Anonymous64060: Regarding Intel. Colleagues of mine are seeing 20% +-5% pay bumps for positions in San Diego.
This is for people that currently have jobs with relevant skills and that are not desperate looking for work, particularly those with skills in connectivity. These people aren't necessarily from QC. I won't name where they are from. But you can... — read more
Did Samsung Snub The Snap Dragon 810 To Promote The Exynos
Did Samsung throw QCOM and the Snapsragonr 810 under the bus for technical reasons or to just prompt the Exynos processor?
Besides Samsung's Galaxy S6 will be using the Exynos app processor, it will be interesting if it also uses Samsung's LTE baseband chip.
I wonder if Exynos ends up being successful on the Galaxy S6, will Samsung eventually just use it across its entire product line? And would they start selling them to other OEM's? This game is about to get a lot more interesting.
Are there active discussions still going on for plans for more layoffs?
Spoke with a sr staff manager recently and he mentioned that active discussions are still occurring to plan the next round of layoffs. Can anyone confirm whether these discussions are still happening in other groups?

Lots of QC folks at Apple. Is that a company worth moving to?
RSU I heard are great. Base salary not that much better. Will senior staff engineer at QC get a principal engineer position at Apple. What about stress levels and workload? If totally insane across the board, then maybe not worth it.
