The Goliath's prophecy is becoming a reality... It looks like we won't be selling "flowers" pretty soon...
L3 guy, you might have a big title, but both you and I will will be on the same boat looking for a job at a different Company pretty soon.
Go Fund Me set up for Meg Whitman - L3 Dude, can you help out here?
Of all the co-HPE patriots who busy themselves around Meggie, doesn't one of them have a secure relationship with her to the tune of pulling her aside and directing her to a hair stylist? For such a wealthy, powerful woman (and the same would hold... — read more
BUYOUT IMMINENT!!!!

"The best leaders inspire by example. When that's not an option, brute intimidation works pretty well, too." Right, Meg?
Yes, I was on the meeting in which that "joke" was made... When Meg makes a joke, you laugh. It's called "survival"... You guys have no idea how tough it is when she calls an ad-hoc meeting to request an update.
My status suddenly changed from individual contributor to manager...is this a sign WFR is on its way?
So....I just passed my 15 year service mark, the last 10 of which have been as an individual contributor. No one has any discussions with me and, as far as I know, my position is not changing. My job code has not changed. My manager has no clue as to... — read more
Listen to what people do, not say - HPE biggies selling out
Insider Activity: Insiders look pessimistic about the prospects of the company that they seem to offload shares while they are 33.84 up so far this year. A EVP and GM, HP Software at Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company (HPE) sold shares in the company... — read more
Get out of HP - leave just go
Life on the outside can be good and the reduction in crazy a$$ stress is healthy. This company is failing. Some areas hit harder than others so far and the grind is unrelenting until HPE doesn't exist and Meg gets paid.
Articles like these describe just the tip of the icebergh on how bad things are internally at HPE. It's such a huge mess right now...
"What Whitman internally describes as the "frozen middle" — the 20,000 to 30,000 people inside the company who are stuck in the past and resist change." -... — read more

Tax loopholes are the #1 cause of layoffs in the US, and will continue to be until they are truly addressed (i.e. Puerto Rico)
Take away the tax loopholes incentives on doing business overseas (Puerto Rico is a good tax haven example with a faulty design that is being abused ), and in a few years a lot of jobs will return to the US. Look at Brazil, for example... The tariffs... — read more
HPE WFR is hitting Vietnam
HPE decided to close Vietnam R&D site on July 14, most of around 60 people are working of HPE Software BU. It seems the wave of laying of started at the beginning of Q2 2016.
Could you believe an old friend currently working at IBM asked me if he should take an offer he got from HPE?
He is concerned about the continuous layoffs going on within IBM. I didn't know if I should have laughed or cried. I told him to look for a job out of the Tech Industry, and strongly advised not to look at HPE as a "better environment"proposition.
Big date: July 18, 2016
I have heard there are a number of people getting their notice on the 18th including me. Have not seen anything in WARN or in the news. Tomorrow will tell. Very sad.
I think a lot of people still don't realize that layoffs don't necessarily mean net headcount reduction.
Plenty of times, HPE simply transfer roles to Countries with lower cost structures to save tons of money. Add to that ridiculous international tax loopholes, and you have the perfect recipe for jobs to go abroad. I won't vote for DT, because I don't... — read more
What do you think of this? https://hbr.org/2016/07/how-dell-hp-and-apple-rediscovered-their-founders-vision
I don't agree that Meg and HP should have been included in that article. Neither HPQ or HPE represent the core values of our founders. Those glory days are well behind of what we have become.
Trolling?
What can be posted here vs. what shouldn't be posted in here? What is the definition of "trolling" as it relates to this site?
Will happen to optimize going into Q4
Monday, July 18 falls perfectly to give people two weeks to close out business, hand off to peers, etc. It is real. Honestly, who believes you can merge two failing businesses, with any hope of success, without major staff cuts?
Last week's layoffs
