Get out of HP - leave just go

Life on the outside can be good and the reduction in crazy a$$ stress is healthy. This company is failing. Some areas hit harder than others so far and the grind is unrelenting until HPE doesn't exist and Meg gets paid.

Tax loopholes are the #1 cause of layoffs in the US, and will continue to be until they are truly addressed (i.e. Puerto Rico)

Take away the tax loopholes incentives on doing business overseas (Puerto Rico is a good tax haven example with a faulty design that is being abused ), and in a few years a lot of jobs will return to the US. Look at Brazil, for example... The tariffs... — read more

HPE WFR is hitting Vietnam

HPE decided to close Vietnam R&D site on July 14, most of around 60 people are working of HPE Software BU. It seems the wave of laying of started at the beginning of Q2 2016.

Big date: July 18, 2016

I have heard there are a number of people getting their notice on the 18th including me. Have not seen anything in WARN or in the news. Tomorrow will tell. Very sad.

Monday, July 18 falls perfectly to give people two weeks to close out business, hand off to peers, etc. It is real. Honestly, who believes you can merge two failing businesses, with any hope of success, without major staff cuts?

Last week's layoffs

There has been some recent layoffs at one of El Paso's locations. El Paso, tx has 2 different buildings, most of these layoffs were rehired at the other location. So much for their no rehire policy, looks like it's only enforced on some cases. I'm... — read more

Just an FYI, unless the rules have changed, companies are supposed to post a WARN listing if there are going to be mass layoffs. Most states have a website where you can see them. Here is the site for Texas... — read more

My personal experience with a layoff early 2014...

No issue with HR through the process, although after losing the access, support for specific inquiries was really limited - sometimes frustrating (especially as it related to financial-related documentation). They didn't take calls, and/or didn't get... — read more

If you are leaving HPE in the upcoming weeks...

I am sorry if you got notice today, or during the last few days/weeks. Although uncertainty definitively causes fear, be confident that you and your family are going to be fine, and that most people leaving the Company report better working... — read more

WFR, RIF and Layoffs are here.

It is tempting to say I'll never buy another HP/HPE product, but the reality is that this company is an inanimate object driven by people like Meg Whitman who will move on once this company is dismantled and sold off. In the meantime, these greedy... — read more

Del Valle threw a new jab at HPE this morning

Del Valle strikes again... - https://goo.gl/nZCIwC - This guy truly has a vendetta against this Company, whatever some people say... It looks like he has a lot to take out of his chest. Don't waste your time, buddy. Not sure what you're trying to do... — read more

So much good talent are being laid off.

Public opinion on outsourcing has reached an all time high against it. Politicians are finding it hard to deal with the a growing outcry of the public. That eventually, companies like HPE, could be forced to pay a high price for moving or coming... — read more

Where is the HP Employee Handbook?

Is there an HP employee handbook? I have asked co-workers, managers, HR representatives and searched the web. Where can I find the HP employee handbook? I thought a publicly traded company is legally obligated to have a handbook on site or available... — read more
