Is it true that the HON CEO and his 'buddies' are running side businesses and using HON resources (e.g. corporate jet) for this purpose?
Tomorrow, quarterly report
Tomorrow, is stock going up or down?
Can we unionize
Does HON allow or dismiss unionization. I've not heard of grounds for making one, but the thought does cross my mind.
New hires making more than those training them
Someone mentioned this in one of the threads below. How often do trainees get paid more than the person training them? Is it common here?
Who can you afford to lose?
Is there a single person on your team you could afford to lose? Honeyhell seems to believe so with all the new layoffs (even if they're mostly small rounds) but that's not the reality. The reality is that if we lose more people, things will start to... — read more

RIF coming end of August due to lost contracts and downturn in economy
Headcount shortage
HW is a constant stress. It's as if no one in the leadership is aware nor cares about the headcount shortage problem, which leads to frustration, more people quitting, and ultimately the fact that we often can't meet deadlines?
Furloughs In Aero
Heard from a very reliable source that furloughs were announced for one of our Aero offshore divisions for Aug 7 and 21. Bet we get an email here in the states any second now…
Hypocrisy and shamelessness
In the HR communication call, they handled out guidelines how messaging to employees would be handled. One of the funny things is that they would not put furlough wordings in their out of office replies. The hypocrisy is at a different level each day... — read more
One way Street
It's always been a one way street for HW leadership and I say this as a former leader at HW (not really proud of it). HW leadership never has a problem putting their employees in a bind with very little notice, then again they can't really give much... — read more
Furloughs
HW leadership...or HR I know you are watching! Get freaking grip and run the business the way he should be run. If you were connected to daily operations and performance of the business, you would have to take these knee jerk reactions with... — read more
How Soon ?
There's been talks of furloughs coming to PHX engines but how soon? Is there an expected timeframe when this will occur or will they just remain rumors.
Furloughs being announced
Coming soon to an email near you ….. better than the alternative I guess
This better be a joke
I've spent months of aimlessly wandering through - what seems to be - a desolate job market, desperately hoping for a glimmer of decent prospects to come my way. I have found nothing. Absolutely nothing. Do I really have to settle for a pathetic... — read more
Big announcement this week
It is related to Engines. I can’t provide more details.
Contractor layoffs are here, we’re next
Hey all, long timer here. Forgive the fact that I haven’t quite reached escape velocity but I’m trying to run my hamster wheel faster. Phoenix contract worker layoff’s are here and as per history, I figure we are next. It goes CSW, then unpaid... — read more
IGS Layoffs This Week
IGS (and possibly SPS) is experiencing a wave of layoffs today. Some are being escorted out today and some are being allowed to leave at the end of the week. At least two from my department are being affected. One senior EE and a level 1 EE.
Supplier Readiness Team
How long will this new team last? Anyone? Dysfunctional to say the least! Horrible
Metric driven smoke and mirrors organisation'l
Is it me or y'all also feel that Honeywell has become metric driven organisation with no regards to customers and employees? I think they just cook numbers and celebrate among themselves and no idea what's going on.
What's happening? Let me know!
Ya know, it is almost funny how quiet things are on this board. Me tinks something is brewing. I tinks Honeywell HR is taking a break from this forum in anticipation of a future change. Where is a "Tired Director" when we need them? Maybe another can... — read more
No Salary info posted from Hon
No salary range info from Hon on sites like indeed. Me thinks it's because their ranges aren't competitive. Current employees and applicants should know how flat the salaries are, by design. I got "good" raises every year and still got a lot more... — read more
I thought I was quiet quitting, but I just found out I'm loud quitting
The consulting company defined loud quitters as employees who take actions that "directly harm" the organization, while undercutting its goals and opposing its leaders. "At some point along the way, the trust between employee and employer was... — read more
Chronic toxicity
Someone posted that most major organizations cut costs and cut corners. That is likely true, but no other part of the site is as active as this one. I have never seen a company where leader ship followed, anonymous sites, and actually tried to figure... — read more
Any layoff or all sorts of freezing news?
Now the Q2 has ended, are we going to be like 2022 where everything was put on hold and started laying off?
Doing my part
I remember the days when the company would pay employees for tips on how to improve processes or save money. If they implemented your change, they paid you a percentage. One day, Honeywell decided to quietly stop paying for these tips. Low and... — read more
HON rep
I attended a local charity community event and ran into a number of former HON employees. The word on the street is similar to the posts here. The brand name is significantly damaged.
Happy Fourth of July Everybody!
I hope you all enjoy the long weekend and have some fun. Mostly, just don't think about the sh!tshow that Honeywell has become. We can all start back on the 5th and resume our getting scr*wed by Honeywell with a little relaxation under our belts.
"Run for the Hills"
there's interesting review posted June 22, 2023 on Glassdoor titled "Run for the Hills". WOW!
Are there layoffs coming in Honeywell Advanced Materials?
There appears to be a lot of rumbling, and there are some people walking around looking stressed out. Anyone know anything?
Another staff reduction in Fairfield, Ohio?
Yesterday, some folks were let go forever. Let's see ....it started last year and continued with the recent and very rapid departure of the GM & HR (their choice?) along with elimination of the 2nd shift. Not a pretty picture.
UOP Layoffs?
president changing, new roles being added by pmt leadership, what is expected to happsn to uop corporate? i guess us ants would be the last to know
Do you regret joining Honeywell?
If you joined within the last year or two, do you regret it or do you still think you made the right choice? I have a feeling I know what most of the answers are going to be, but who knows, maybe I'll end up surprised.
HBT new bookings down by 50%
Fasten your seatbelts guys, we are about to go on a ride of our life in HBT. Wait for the classic "finished Q2 strong and making sure we execs get the fat bonus but due to global headwind you are going to suffer big now"
Shoutout to my homies who were trapped in the lobby in CLT
Good times. Almost 3 hours with no communication followed by a full building evac. Smart building schmart schmuilding!
Lack of vision has cost us a great deal
20 years ago, Aero was definitely not in balance from an investment to revenue standpoint. Nobody liked it, but costs were out of control. The "playbook" was actually appropriate for the time. But like anything, there is a proper balance of... — read more
Only at Honeyhell
The less you work, the higher your chance of getting a promotion.
Go to a competitor, any competitor
Several months removed from IGS and couldn’t be happier with my decision. Recommend applying to all your direct competitors and getting out - KF is no savior, he is an absolute clown show just like the obese guy right before him.
Mad dog is FINALLY leaving
Bye bye, mad dog. Take your "impactful career" and shove it all the way up you-know-where!!!! Good riddance.
