Do not disclose personal or medical issues to coworkers or managers—those conversations rarely lead to meaningful support and create unnecessary vulnerability.
I have been in managerial roles; I’ve seen more retaliation and mishandled situations than most people realize. This workplace has had more issues than any company I’ve previously worked for.HR is the most heartless part of this robot city. Do not go to them. If you’re dealing with medical leave, accommodations, or any health‑related matter, remember that HIPAA and privacy laws apply. If your information has been shared without your consent—whether by colleagues, HR, or health center—that can be a serious violation. Consult with an employment attorney. With proper documentation, many people discover they have a stronger case than they expected, and HR departments strongly prefer to avoid legal exposure.

Bloomberg Law: Medicaid Firm Struggles to Block Patient Data from India Workers

Don't get sick or get old
If you get sick or a family member gets sick you will be moved to the top of the layoff list.
HIPPA protects your medical history but not your medical/insurance costs. The company has access to that data and will use it to prioritize people for layoffs.
If you get old, your insurance costs will go up, and you will be selected for a layoff.
Don't get sick or get old.
Sick of wellmed QA
I swear it’s like they are purposely trying to get the whole department of wellmed fired so the offshore employees have more work they change the SOPs and don’t update the leadership then flag us because we didn’t do one single step that we’ve never done before and doesn’t even involve HIPAA or verification then the whole department is stuck with low QA and we get chewed out by upper management.
terminated after requesting ada
I worked for the company for years and have had medical issues less than a month after i requested accommodations via ada as a disabled vet I was terminated, before i could even get my accommodation equipment to work. it makes me think with all their finiancial woes that they are terminating people and i almost worked for them for a decade and had outstanding performance reviews until i got sick.
I can also tell you there watson IVR system is plagued with thousands upon thousands of Bot calls retrieving PHI which is a massive HIPPA violation. After auditing them and telling them of this and applying to ADA they axed me.
But all the non-stop meetings about resume building and things hinting at org changes and such have been going on and i know alot of people are on the early retirement track.
I fortunately documented all the HIPPA violations my notification of them to them and notified it officially to the government today.
This has been going on for years, I hope they enjoy the Hipaa audit let alone the FTC violations.
