I see we just farmed out 10% of our Trinidad block to Oxy. I have wondered for a long time what the point of this and OBO is. I understand the idea of risk sharing but how are we supposed to have better returns than our competitors when so many of the projects we do are with them? Wouldn’t it be better for us to do 100% out own projects?

Nothing says ‘competitive advantage’ like posting the Permian well logs, 1533’ core spacing, and perforation clusters. This is what winning looks like.

Wondering how many CNE folk are trying to jump ship this round. Should be a good indicator of how close we are to sinking that boat. We were slow to jump in after BP and Shell had first tried to float their low carbon, low IQ portfolio’s. BP threw their ambitions overboard with thier CEOs, as they were going “too fast too soon”. Perhaps we will continue to be followers in the wake of our cross Alantic competitors.
