Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Will they do furloughs or offer packages?

Hearing of some big workforce reduction targets after the split. Any chance they will offer buyouts especially since they seem to be popular in corporate America these days?

@x3 That sort of tells you what Honeywell did to UOP very sad when a good group of people want get out like that VRIF. If I was band 3 I may of took it too but will survive best I can for few more years then out there.

@nn They just had a VRIF at UOP for all Band 3 and above with an enhanced severance offer … 2 weeks per year and 38 weeks max. They had about 100 volunteers.

Hello… McFly? Have you not been paying attention to the wholesale group layoffs and Survivor type tactics going on here? Frankly we have too many leaders and too complex processes with all the GDM changes foisted on us. Start saving extra money now and minimizing your expenses. This is going to get ugly.

@nn but if you quit by being nudged/pushed then they pay zero.... I believe this is game, pay as less as possible.

Honeywell pays 1 week severance for every year up to 26 weeks maximum, with a minimum of 4 weeks for RIF’s. Do not expect anything more than that.

@ew you are damn right, they will try to thin the herd so pay as less as possible.

Aero has been running as a separate business for months. Didn’t you notice when they stopped paying you.

@by I think they will push older/senior employees out, and do as much RIFs as possible, then you add all kind of new bs tools, metrics that no one can meet so more peple quit, these strategies will lower the cost if it comes to offering packages.

@e7
Two weeks for every year? Ha ha ha! The entire company would resign.

Hoping elliott consultants know that offering a VRIF will allow them to reduce millions in payroll expenses. Offer 2 weeks for every year, and you can shed the top 10% of earners instantly. I know I would raise my hand, and know many others who would as well.

They have been downsizing functions for months to get ready for the announcements yesterday but also hiring for new org structures which make absolutely no sense in how to run a business. Makes you wonder exactly how stable things will be at either Aero or Automation. And now that most of Industrisl Automation is sold off… what’s left?

I thought this was gonna happen. If it’s true, I’m assuming it’s aerospace and automation. Is exactly what Elliot management does.

First, I’ll start at corporate. Then send through the all the ranks of the company. Not people who laughed at me when I said production could be affected. I guarantee it will be.

Do more with less. I wonder why they automating everything
. I see consolidations, plant closures, and moving out of high buck regions.

They had this planned out years in advance. So any strange activity you’ve seen at your facility. Upgrade all suddenly and improvements to enhance their assets. Not a good sign for you.

Now the fun really begins.
