@a9 there is no way anybody in HR has experience doing a layoff of this size. They are winging it. No matter how much they planned it isn't going to go well. Management who has to try and recover from this debacle won't even begin to sort through the wreckage until they get the all clear from HR. No point trying to rebuild and reorganize until they know everyone who is going to survive for sure. The rest of this week is a waste of time. Everyone will still be shell shocked and evaluating the damage.
I had a somber call today with our VP, he said it's done for this round, no further cycles. We got people on that call from NA, IDC, EU.

This is 100% false.
For those saying it can’t happen, as someone who was laid off by another nicer monopoly tech company last year, they don’t have a fu--ing clue what they are doing. It’s just sawing off heads to them whether it is 5am or 3pm. Many team members were told you aren’t laid off, but we don’t have a role, only to find out they were laid off a couple days later. Stop acting like these companies are an all known god, they are heartless a--holes stuffing pockets.
Someone I know has not received the email, but has lost access to VPN, etc.
