Oxy is being Smart about this

First, OXY doesn't care about you. That's just life. The reduction of salary is smart, but it's the first step in screwing you. By doing massive salary reductions they are saving cash now. Plus hopefully shedding some folks that are going to try... — read more

Anyone Angry?

Upvote if your angry! I can't help but feel angry at VH. Now they may just be buying time for major layoffs. I don't trust them anymore!

Carl Icahn

Now that Carl is running the show, how long before y'all think he forces his new puppet to do mass layoffs? Do you think they will cut severance to minimum required 2 months under WARN and when do you think it will happen?

Merger Agreement

According to the merger agreement, Oxy is required to keep APC employees' salaries the same for one year. Read it for yourself on EDGAR https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/773910/000119312519144402/d745029dex21.htm Oxy/APC AGREEMENT AND PLAN... — read more

Employee Ratings - Performance

Co-worker of mine got an E-1 rating this past review cycle... wonder if they're going to carry that into next year's merit/raises or if they busted their hump for nothing... I think there should have been provisions for top performers, honestly. ... — read more

What did you do with previous bonus money? Did you pay down your house, buy a new toy, invest in the market, or cash in the bank? I invested... should have waited...

4.9 %

What about us LAPC folks down in South Texas that got practically given away to Western gas, found a loopehole to screw us out of the COC. And now we get cut 10% and it does not trigger COC becouse ita not a good enough reason.

Three Million Unemployed

Unemployment through the roof. Last week there were 280K unemployment claims, we are expecting about three million now. The number will be published at 8:30 a.m. EDT... This is gonna be massive. That number would be well above the levels seen... — read more

Why are you not walking out?

Unless they are granting you all 60% of your base pay in restricted stock on a 12 dollar per share basis, you should walk out and let the company collapse. 30% of your pay doesn't need to go to Warren and Carl for their awful investments. Let... — read more

CEO: Motion of No Confidence

Speaking from within, the former OXY Board was driven simply by the HERd Instinct. There are two types of pain you will go through in life, the pain of discipline and the pain of regret. Discipline weighs ounces while regret weighs tonnes. Vicki... — read more

A quote from Andrew Kershaw

“Our people are our most Valuable Asset.” I’m definitely feeling less valuable. Anyone else feeling a little let down by the pay cuts and layoffs?

Pay Cuts - Perspective

Hilarious to see everyone freaking out and complaining on here about their pay cuts. I'm coming here from another operator that just went through several rounds of layoffs, the most recent of which cut pretty deep. I think everyone in that... — read more

Don’t “mutiny.” Organize.

The major problem facing employees of this company is that we’ve taken management at their word for years. We believed them when they told us “Oxy doesn’t do layoffs.” We believed Vicki knew what was best for us because she worked her way up from... — read more

WTF COVID19 Email

Does this mean we need to go into the office tomorrow or wait for a specific date?

OxyChem operators

What info did the plastics/chemical operators get in regards to salary/hourly cuts?

Time for Mutiny?

Icahn was getting screwed by VH so he took action. Time for the employees to take action? If we have a critical mass, we just not do any work on 31st. Well for those who are actually doing something.

VSP?

Just got my latest VSP check. Supposed to be paid to the end of August 2020. I wonder if VH and EC will have gall to try and cut VSP payments on “technicality” that VSP recipients are still “employees?”

Why does 4.9% pay cut not trigger CoC?

Anybody have a logical explanation for this, or does the EC think the little blurb about the "plan administrator says this doesn't qualify" will scare folks into not filing?

Vicki taking an 81% salary cut?

Lets’ do the real math on her TOTAL compensation cut based on the WSJ article publishing her total 2018 compensation, as shown below: ‘Ms. Hollub earned compensation valued at $14.1 million in 2018, according to the company’s most recent annual... — read more

2T Aid from Congress

I believe I heard part of the aid from Congress is tied to companies not reducing salary compared to level on March 13th. I know this hasn’t been published yet but that would be an interesting spin. Does anybody have an idea if OXY is eligible for... — read more

So, um, think the United Way can help me pay the rent?

Pay cuts?

When was the last time you saw an oil and gas company do pay cuts? Like NEVER! It’s always layoffs. Apparently they are so strapped for cash they can’t even pony up enough cash for severance packages,

Vicki’s Comp

Wait, her salary is being cut 81%? Makes a great headline, but salary is only a small part of her total comp so it’s more smoke and mirrors. When the stock triples (to $30 ha!!), she will still make a k–ling with the stock-based comp they handed... — read more

Shape up or Ship OUT! Shut up the negativity!
