Noble is still open?

Noble is still open? I thought they filed for bankruptcy and closed down last year. Noble might want to think about auditioning for a role on the Walking Dead so they can make ends meet until someone pokes a stick in its brain.

There is no hope for Noble

Noble is a company for management by management. How many managers have lost their job during this downturn? The answer is none. Yet these are the very people who have run this company into the curb. Yes there are more "s--- asses" at this company... — read more

Patina Acquisition - A mistake

I know Noble was a great Oklahoma based Oil company. IMO the mistake made was acquiring Patina and all the baggage that came with it. A good company was introduced to the wild west way of conducting business.

WHERE DID NOBLE GO WRONG???

I have worked for Noble for almost 10 years and here is the way I see things. When Noble mostly comprised of old Samedan employees, we got the job done safely, under budget and successfully. We had no requirements for useless a I.T. organization with... — read more

NEW LAYOFFS A CERTAINTY IN HOUSTON

Straight from God's to my ears (God = Stover), we are going to start the process for choosing Noble employees for termination. I am sure the upper management will be safe (I hope so for my sake) but about 30% of the back office will be let go. More... — read more

A real Anadarko employee

All i can say is that i work in the financial department here as an upper level manager and there are ZERO plans to purchase Noble Energy.

U want it ...u sure about that

“targeted purchase of their DJ asset and the operational efficiency it might bring. " ...WTF ? There is NOTHING efficient in Noble's DJ Basin. There's a reason they have such a high Noble Energy employee turnover rate here in Greeley... everyone with... — read more

Sooner you leave Noble on your own, the better

The sooner Noble employees get laid- off the better off they will be. Working for this sorry company is exhausting. Are we on or fourth or fifth "re-org" now? Most companies had no layoffs or "re-org. Others had one round of layoffs and got on with... — read more

Anadarko News

I'm an employee at Anadarko working on the Noble purchase. Dust off your resumes, because the plan is to layoff most of you Noble folk shortly after the purchase is official.

This is no way to do business

As a royalty interest owner Noble is by far the worst operator I am involved with. Recently Noble decided to make an ad-valorem tax adjustment going back to 2008. Naturally it worked out in their favor. I will not receive a royalty check for 5... — read more

As for severance don't count on much

Anadarko buying Noble would be like throwing a drowning man a rock, send em straight to the bottom. There's absolutely no value here. Still it would be sweet. Noble field hands MIGHT survive, but Just about everyone else would be toast. After the... — read more

Bleak

Noble has rightly come to the conclusion that they can't go forward. They don't have the talent available to survive. Not only have they laid-off hundreds of employees many more very talented people have left on their own. Most everyone left are... — read more

Anadarko (APC) evaluating bid for Noble

Senior management from Noble met twice with their counterparts at Anadarko in the past few days regarding a possible acquisition of NBL by APC, according to sources at both companies. It is not known who initiated the contacts, but sources say the... — read more

More layoffs coming in Sept

the clayton Williams and rosetta employees are subpar, if noble is smart they will layoff those people before the loyal long term noble employees. I have not met a clayton Williams or rosetta person that was worth a darn

DENVER office fate?

So what is the over under on when the DENVER office will be closed?

GOM assets sold

GOM, selling to Fieldwood. 11th floor will be a ghost town.

NBL Stock

Noble stock closing today at $28.97... an eight year low going back to the financial collapse of 2009. Enough said.

I do blame Noble

Since the "leadership" is happy to accept reponsibility for the occasional success, including the financial benefits that go with It, then why shouldn't they also accept responsibility for the failures? It's time for layoffs in the executive suite.

I don't blame Noble.

Nobody is coming to Canonsburg. The Marcellus folks in Canonsburg are toast! Office closing down. If y'all don't give us an opportunity in Houston or elsewhere, then we have an outside shot of getting a job with the new outfit in Parkersburg, WV... — read more

Bettering People's Lives?

Sure, with the exception of those of us in the Marcellus Business Unit who are going to be shown the door so Noble can pay for its bad business decisions elsewhere. Great business plan.

The worst of the worst oil & gas companies

I have worked for 6 oil & gas companies & Noble is by far the worst of the worst company. The upper management is a joke, actually everyone is laughing at this worst of the worst

Official. Appalachia being sold

This might be old news, but just in case, I recently found out that all the Appalachia assets are up for sale, including the wells. They are actively being shopped around.

EEOC Violation?

I heard a rumor that higher ups in Denver called other operators in the DJ and asked them to not hire away Noble employees. Extraction and PDC ignored the request but Synergy acquiesced from what I understand. Has anyone else heard this? Is this... — read more
