Thread regarding Noble Energy Inc. layoffs

The worst of the worst oil & gas companies

I have worked for 6 oil & gas companies & Noble is by far the worst of the worst company. The upper management is a joke, actually everyone is laughing at this worst of the worst

As for me, I just enjoy dropping by to say I told ya so. Several of us warned ya that this would happen. When ya have an exec management focused on smoke and mirrors crap like "Gap" instead of fundamentals like "can we make a profit doing this" it's bound to end badly. It ain't over yet either. This downturn has more legs to go and aside from retirement of the "Exec VP of Everything" the same people are still running the show. You don't actually think the "leadership" has learned anything from this do you? Look what they're doing, still repeating the same mistakes. Like why are they still in the Falklands and Cameroon? Face it, they're hopeless. If you still work here get your exit plan in order. Watch for a market bounce and then grab any new job you can get.

FYI this site is called The Layoff. Maybe some people are here looking for information about layoffs that could affect them.

If you're so happily employed by Noble why are you "trolling" the site?

If you've moved on then why are you still trolling this Noble site and posting about how much better your future is? You're one of the Didn't get a raise people, aren't ya?

You're still at Noble? Sorry it hasn't worked out for you. Most of us have moved on to much better places with better futures!

Midstream received raises AND bonuses this year. Some management at Noble got raises and bonuses. Most everyone else got a small bonus and no raise. Particularly staff like techs and ops assistants. Anyone know know which other positions got both raises and bonuses?

Severance? If you were fortunate enough to had working for one of the companies Noble acquired you would have received one year or more severance... paid by Noble. If you are a Noble employee you will get 90 days plus any unused vacation.

Isn't Noble a great company to work for?

one should not count on NBL's senior management to possess one iota of integrity. DS, GW, and KF care only about their own paychecks. If you count on anything otherwise, then you do so at your own peril.

Mgmt gas failed both the employees and the stockholders.

The MBU is the perfect example: after 4 years working under a one-sided Agreement with CNX that an idiot wouldn't have entered into, NBL works a deal that is even worse! Giving up our best wells for junk so burdened no one will buy ut under the limitations from CONE and DTI commitments. But that hasn't stopped Mgmt from trying to sell us out behind the scenes. And bald face lying about it when confronted.

I just hope Noble has the integrity to provide decent severance if the MBU sells-wecould have been pudsuing other positions elsewhere these past few months.

I concur with these sentiments. Noble is the K-Mart of the the oil & gas industry.

It's starting to become a joke around Noble. There are some people in upper management that need to go! I wonder what the attrition rate is for others in our peer group? It feels like the final scenes of the Titanic in Denver.
