Lenovo May 2020 layoffs are real

I just got laid off from the DCG BU. I basically get a 6 week severance with 3 months health. Lenovo continues with their yearly tradition. There are more impacted, I don't know the whole number.

Who else is getting Manager 1-on-1 meetings?

Title says it all. Curious who else is having them scheduled. Pretty interesting that they dumped a few Execs last week and managers scheduling 1-on-1 meetings for tomorrow.

Let's get some real details

Lots of folks talking about the impending layoff that's incoming, but very few real details with specifics to back them up. I think it's time we get a thread together that has real information rather than just rumors. If you know the facts, post them... — read more

Wow...

Seriously you all are a bunch of fearmongering either ex-employees or employees of competitors. Sure, they may cut fat like every year. But you all are acting like they're going to close down every GD job in NA. Go jump off a bridge.

Can they really get away with paying no severance?

Is Lenovo the most toxic place you've ever worked at?

COVID-19 layoffs?

Grass is greener

Thankfully, I was laid off last year. DCG is the worst place to work. Completely demeaning. Getting laid off was the best thing to happen to me. Got my finances in order. Got a much more stable job. Absolutely loved and appreciated. Has a retirement... — read more

Why are you staying? It was a sweatshop that payed me well below what I was worth, I happily gave my notice and found something better. Just curious what reasons you have.
