After 5 years of service Lenovo decided to randomly cut me loose and layoff about 12% of it's Salesforce in NA. Both Field and ISR's were affected and I believe it's across every segment. totally blindsided after the company had an all-time year in 2019 and I was given no explanation on how I was selected. Also the severance package is a total joke and disrespectful. I was loyal to this company and I loved working with many of my coworkers but the way I was terminated is disgraceful. "Thanks for your service...now get the hell out!"

My field rep and I were laidoff after we made President's Club (and we were a good amount above our quota.). We brought in several millions in USD to the company and they decided to let us go.
If you're in sales, don't assume that doing a good job and beating your quota equates job security.

Are they still giving 1 week for every 6 months of service?
Was it just NA impacted and which groups? Public Sectors or Commercial? Any Globals?
I asked numbers during my cold meeting, but was giving the standard "I don't know."
Any info on number of people impacted/what areas of PCG etc?

@1zha+16cnSlVL - DCG has like 300 people left in NA. There's no one left to layoff. Your sentence structure leads me to believe you have no idea what you're talking about...
All I can tell you is that the entire job market is horrible right now. No company is really doing any hiring. All of them are planning layoffs. Some companies at least have told the employees they will be laid off come Oct 1. That is the first day they can layoff if they took any government money. Of course, they have all already planned it.
Pretty much every company has consultants on how many and who to layoff. With no end in sight, it is easy because there are no faces to the names. DCG is going to get hit at the end of August as well again I suspect along with continued other areas. I tell friends never to buy Lenovo products. I can't tell them NOT to buy Lenovo. I just tell them the differences, price, and the backend support. They make their own decisions.
What was the severance package if you don't mind me asking?
Think about all the slogging day and night...9am to 6pm and then the night calls from 8pm to 10+pm and on top the abuse and mistreatment from some narcissistic execs....but when time comes....easily discarded.
I just got laid off for “resource action” too.
What a complete joke.
Lenovo has truly lost a valuable asset.
