Just some advice. I did get unemployment after taking VSP in 2014. Intel will most likely not bother to contest. They don't have the time to document a case against every unemployment claim. Also, apply for educational benefits under US department of... — read more
Kid troll loves to post useless, information-free threads, and then respond to himself in the same thread.
If the thread is information-free, or information-negative i.e. just recycling what he "learned" from looking at previous posts or external sites, then it's time to just ignore that troll thread and wait for an actual thread. Previous post about his... — read more
90% of my team got VSP except my manager.
As Intel advised, to get promotion one should network more than just work. I totally followed that protocol and impressed my manager, his manager , top manager, parallel manager , inter team manager, even tried to impress BK. Still I got VSP... — read more
Focal process seems to be changing
Looks likr focal is changing to Qualcomm style. Murthy is clearly adapting Qualcomm's infamous focal review process, which is doomed to fail. Who is gonna work creatively when they are under constant pressure to make tangible achievements?
This article below describes the grounds for a lawsuit vs Intel in perfect clarity.
For a class action suit I would think a pattern of this behavior would be easy to find given the anecdotal stories just on thelayoff.com alone. https://www.entrepreneur.com/answer/221882
Managers, please explain how you distributed SSL4 to your successful employees in last focal please?
Is there a criteria/rule and how is it different from previous years. Appreciate it.
Why Broadcom gave up on IOT (and why Intel will fail miserably at it)
This article nailed it. I was one of the founding engineers of this product line. The volume just wasn't there for margins of these things. With the exception of automotive (which Qualcomm/CSR has it locked down for most major OEMs), IOT margins are... — read more

Amazon and apple pay entry level engineers with Intel grade 7 salary
Amazon: Staff at Amazon (AMZN, Tech30) enjoy the highest salaries and bonuses by a long way, with the median worker making $109,000 per year and getting a sweet $22,000 bonus. But the company also has a reputation for having a grueling and sometimes... — read more

VSP vs ISP package?
Which is better?
Most americans that can't find jobs are blue collar dipshits that have no marketable skills.
Truth hurts, I know.
I'd say the majority of H1-B whiners are originally from a state somewhere in between the west coast and east coast.
Most likely a Red State for which there are a lot of U.S. citizens consume welfare benefits. They probably had a decent paying unskilled/dumb as a doorknob job as an shale oil worker. But those jobs dried up once oil hit $40/barrel and the Saudi's... — read more

What about the managers!
Many ICs have eight layers of non-value-add managers and that includes many VPs. When is Intel going to improve that situation. Remember the 1000-manager March? Decisions are hard to make in that jungle. So much mistrust and micro-management.
