Global I&D Month

Noticed that our Chief Diversity Office has a staff of females only.

Did I miss anybody?

I think I finally have a good grasp on who visits this page. Current employees who don't like Honeywell and come here to commiserate with others who feel the same, those who left (or were cut) recently who still hate the company and just want to give... — read more

Aero AME layoffs in Q2

Heard that there is a 10-15% target to reduce Fates by end of Q3. What's the street hearing? Are we not getting enough parts to keep the factories running or is it a cost play?

Same story over there than here…

Most of our software effort are failing and this despite our best effort of “putting lipstick on the pig” (sometimes even a gallon or more) Multiple Delays, despite a large number of developers, a bunch of CTOs from the same area… Well now the... — read more

Now is the time to leave.

Whoever has skills that are at least a little updated. I think, should have no dilemma about hitting the job market these days. I have, and I already got a couple of interviews. I think I will be able to land a new job and leave this sh-t ho-e of a... — read more

PIP question

How would you deal with a PIP? Any tips? Any strategies that can ensure a positive outcome? Just don't tell me to quit, please. I understand that the chances are stacked against me but I can't afford to just walk away at this point for personal... — read more

Awesome day tomorrow

Ok what does tomorrow have to do with our jobs. In matter fact also all the different networks too. Gosh this place is getting way to political. Again keep on the other side of the fence. PSH UNREAL

Use Honeywell's reputation against it

I don't know how, but when it comes to hiring, Honeywell still has a great reputation and looks great on a resume. Everybody who's unhappy here - and I know there's many, many of you - should be taking advantage of this and looking for a job while... — read more

Sick and tired of HW, but can't find alternatives

So, I reached the limit, I can NOT stand this place ANYMORE. I've been here for about 4 years, and I made a final decision around December of last year that I should leave this place. It is starting to impact my mental health and I hate it. I've... — read more

Corrosive culture

I hate working in this toxic culture. Working at HON used to be considered a kind of prestige. Not anymore. Does anyone believe that the culture here will improve ever again?

Just saw the rubble where Tempe 1207 was

Went past the Honeywell Tempe campus yesterday and 1207 was gone. I am curious if the whole campus was sold or if Honeywell still operates the rest of it. Also curious what it will become, apts, non Honeywell office park, etc

Why does honeyhell does this

I did not like my current engineer position..so applied for an internal position..they interviewed me but closed the position without hiring anyone..ridiculous..not sure if my current department let the hiring manager know that they don't have a... — read more

Big trouble

Honeywell would be in deep sh_t if everyone started, speaking out about all the short cuts and missing certification documents. I know for a fact parts were being worked and shipped by people who weren't fully certified

Is this a new HON trick or an old one?

Its been a weird and stressful 4 weeks, I was told my position was being eliminated due to a restructure and I would receive a severance package. A job req was opened for my position and I was told skill requirements are different due to which I will... — read more

Meeting deadlines

It is always the employees who are blamed for not meeting deadlines. If a team that works with dedication 60+ hours a week can’t meet a deadline, it says nothing about the employees, but something about those who set the unrealistic goals... — read more

Wondering.... are employees still waiting in limbo?

The question is...Are there still employees waiting in limbo after being unable to return to work after the mandate deadline at their sites? Any feedback from corporate or your HR? Wondering what the long game is.

I think most of us are safe from layoffs

Think about it, attrition is so bad right now that we're backfilling for the first time in a long while. That means HON leadership is realizing that no, you can't get the work done unless you have an appropriate amount of people doing the job. I... — read more

Give Honeywell only what it deserves

Stop agonizing over your job, stop working 60+ hour weeks, stop being at your manager's back and call, just stop it. Give Honeywell what it deserves - an average effort for an average paycheck and below-average benefits. It's not as if you're going... — read more

Why the fear ? .. the 10K reports say it pretty well

Honeywell employees reported in SEC filings Down 13% after accounting for spin offs. Not my numbers... SEC reports. 2021 -- 99,000 2020 -- 103,000 2019 -- 113,000 2018 -- 114,000 2017 -- 131,000 ( spinoffs ) At the same time the percentage of... — read more

That is certainly not the road to success

I’m pretty shocked at whom Honeywell hired to replace one of our best employees. In place of great engineer who left, there is now a kid who doesn't know what he is doing, nor does he have any ambition to learn. My opinion is that everyone should... — read more

Useless and unqualified management

None of the managers at HON have leadership skills. They are rude, disrespectful, and, most importantly, unqualified. Trying to talk to them and trying to get your point across in most cases feels like talking to a wall. I'm sure there are a few... — read more

New Career path coming… demotions for everyone

HR is busy working to “modernize” our unified career path. Titles will change to ensure senior people are now pushed to lower bands so they can avoid raises and pull MIP. It is necessary because some skill sets have doubled in value and that... — read more

Say it louder for the people in the back

It is simple. Honeywell is not successful because top software engineers are not working for Honeywell. We are dependent on offshore development. And even in this set up budgets are not sufficient. Honeywell is just successful in selling hardware... — read more
