Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

RIFs are the only solution they can come up with

When I say leader, I mean someone who does his or her best to keep the company doing great and the best it can in the circumstances, and to do everything possible to prevent RIFs from happening. Unfortunately, there is no such leader at HW. I don't think anyone believes that those at the top are doing anything so as to avoid RIFs?

The 9-Block rating and its condition to have 5-10% of staff to be rated below is sure fire way of ki----g morale and getting people to quit therefore, doing away with major RIF exercises. Someone has to tell the Karens that even GE where this was adopted from, has already phased this out from their yearly employee assessments.

It seems the current solution to workforce reductions in lieu of RIF's is leaning more to increasing voluntary attrition by reduction in benefits, health mandates, increased workload, being disrespectful to workers, the 9-block rating system, requiring unpaid overtime to salaried workers, etc. They get the same reduction in workforce without paying severance.
