Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

When will all this finally start hurting their bonuses?

Can't you see Honeywell knows exactly what it is doing? If they can lay less and still get the job done. Why not?
They have done furloughs, layoffs, froze pay raise twice i can remember, and look, people are still working here
They will keep squeezing until they can see the biz is impacted which is when it starts hurting their bonuses with no sales, bad deliveries, etc.
Everyone has their own reasons if they need to stay. No judging....

This is well said. (post @2ldz+1gwKZFpe) Yes, squeezing will not stop as long as they are able to have big bonuses.

Executive bonuses will never be affected as long as Honeywell can avoid paying vendors. Laying off people. Is another tool that Honeywell can employ that they have shown to be willing to use to protect executive compensation.

Unfortunately, its true. If we don't like it, leave. Reality is Honeywell know most won't leave and they will continue to sc--w everyone.

Unions need to be formed.

Honeywell Operating System ...
Catbert: The one called Dilbert is showing signs of happiness at work.

Pointy-haired Boss: That means we can give him more work and he won't quit. (rubbing hands) Excellent. Is anyone else exhibiting signs of unauthorized happiness?

Catbert: No, everyone else is in the narrow band of misery you want them to be in. If they were any happier, it would mean your overpaying them. If they were any less happy, they would take their own lives. If you don't hear any laughing or screaming, it means you're doing something right.

Pointy-haired Boss: What about moans?

Catbert: Moans are ideal. That's the sweet spot.

"They will keep squeezing until they can see the biz is impacted which is when it starts hurting their bonuses with no sales, bad deliveries, etc."

So you ask When, right? Most folks will not want to hear this, but there is no point at which a company like Honeywell will suddenly go "Oh, we need a whole new philosophy around employees!". The reality is that their philosophy has been providing the financial results that the market approves of for over a decade now. Furthermore, if there were truly some macro financial disaster that isn't obviously tied to macro market conditions, the systemic problem would force Honeywell to DOUBLE DOWN on what they believe works.

Honestly folks- if you don't like Honeywell's approach (which is fine if you feel that way)- you really should take the advice of 90% of posters to this site and find a new job.
