In December I put a post it note on the broken windows in the sky ring saying #Do Better Chevron. The windows had been broken since the derecho storm. Took over a year, but the windows were replaced within a week of my post it note.

Really bad look viewable by the public. #shame on Chevron.

Only Ascension leadership knows that for sure, they hold all the cards. Going by past experience, during my career with Ascension there was a continual push to reduce costs and now they've taken it to the extreme outsourcing jobs to companies in the third world. #shame

The amount of nepotism in Baytown is disgusting and I’m sure those will not get laid off. #shame

I’m getting really tired of HCA saying they laid off contractors. Two years ago they made almost all 1099 contractors switch to W2 positions (presumably to take advantage of new corporate tax cuts). They then laid off those W2 “contractors” with no severance and one week notice.

HCA is trying to have its cake and eat it too, they keep trying to call the people that they forced into W2 positions “contractors.” Those newly-minted W2’s, when they switched from 1099, didn’t sign contracts. HCA is bold-faced lying and no one in the press seems to want to dig deeper into how shady all of this is.

HCA should be ashamed that with no notice they not only laid off EMPLOYEES, they did so without offering any severance pay whatsoever (including for employees that stuck with them for many years, declining other work out of loyalty to the company), into a pandemic and empty job market, and then had the nerve to lie about it to the press.
