Vested pension payouts?

If you have 5 years and are vested in the pension then does exxon pay out when you are let go or quit? If so what does that look like for a lump sum calculation when you aren't near retirement age?

Profits from Past Years

During Rex Tillerson's time, ExxonMobil used to make $30-$40 billion profit yearly and people used to talk of ExxonMobil as the greediest companies with so much profit. Profit was only 9% of gross revenue, so the "greedy" attacks were based on... — read more

Exxon Stock Down - AGAIN

I love it. You know why? Exxon will lay off half the employees, cut Capex by 50% and sell half of its assets before it will cut the dividend. I am all in when it gets close to $30. Should happen before Thanksgiving. This is an ego and status power... — read more

Remember the Campus!

Fighting PIP?

Has anyone fought being on PIP? How’d you go about it? I have a suspicion it won’t be long until I’m on PIP and I want to fight it but I don’t know how.

Canada

Right sizing already started up here in Canada, despite management denying any impending doom.

Used to make dollars, not sense.

So what happened to us. We used to make money despite ourselves making bad decisions. Where did we let it go, even before COVID

Exxonmobil suspends stock matching

Hahaha. Exxonmobil management suspended that when they devalued the company 60% over the last 4 years. Invest $1.00 and get $0.85 back WITH the 7% matching! I was viewing that stock match as amends they were making for driving our... — read more

Will there be an early retirement package?

I’m close to retirement and am wondering if anyone has heard anything about an early retirement package. This would reduce a lot oh the higher salary workers, for sure.

Leaked Memos about Upstream

Massive layoffs are coming (not PIP). Could be in the 20~30% depending on your work location. Expecting to hear more in the next few months.

401K Match for Employees Under Three Years

Can anyone confirm if this is true?

Have seen a few references that indicate if you pass PIP, but then get NI? or NSI? In the next 5 years your are automatically dismissed. Does anyone know that that is a fact of the new system?

PIL/MLRP actual cost impact

I can’t help but think what they’ve done so far (PIL/MLRP/forced retirement, 401k match cut, benefit cuts) are way too small in terms of real impact to the bottom line. What are the real big levers that they are looking at? (e.g. dividend cuts)
