You folks remember when rumors first started flying around about the campus. Management denied everything and the only place we could get the truth was from Swamplot. THIS IS NO DIFFERENT. There is a detailed plan already and any management statements to the contrary are BS.

Ah, the campus! Another one of M_ke Br__n follies ... first, passing on GTL, so that Shell is k–ling us on group II/III lubes, then realizing T-Rex's delusion of grandeur on the campus - is it true it cost over $4B? Eliminate personal space for the vast majority of people in the name of tech "Collaboration", only we are not apple or Facebook, duh!, And the final insult, breeding an out-of-control, arrogant EMIT that thinks itself superior to the business it serves, and now it doesn't, may they all be outsourced to Bengaluru.
The biggest problem we have is the lack of accountability for all these upper management clowns: it is them who threw the company in the ditch, not the bottom 8%. I wish there was a solution but afraid there is none, the company will go down before we see these clowns held accountable. Good riddance.
I remember that. Swamp lot published the proposed “sketch” of the campus and we all opened Google Earth in the workroom to see the outline of the campus already cleared along Spring Creek.

Aahhh the “Woodlands” Campus which is actually in Spring that sits on a rice field and that one day will sink. Oh, that’s right...it’s sinking now in more ways than one. The campus... where germs are spread so easily and so is COVID-19. Aaahhh enjoy the Labor Day weekend and then “voluntold” the return to the mighty campus to spread and catch these germs and virus. Perhaps this too is a way to eliminate staff or management can easily discharge for Refusal to Return to Work. Those nasty, slimy old %+%#... but, we love the campus. LOL!!!

The Spring campus. Another few billion dollars that the Exxon didn’t need to spent. But it fosters collaboration, except that we work there because of Covid. I heard Rex’s million dollar tree died.

@rbs when the Spring campus was being planned, nobody at the company would confirm its existence. There was a Houston area Real Estate blog called Swamplot that uncovered and published information about the construction site and shell company EM used to acquire and begin building the site well before the company came out and declared their plans. The OP believes that a similar situation exists with “HW3” and “study work” plans, and they’re just waiting to be uncovered or leaked.
