Deutsche Bank adjusts ViaSat price target to $13 from $18, maintains hold rating. I will tell you that analysts very rarely issue a "sell" rating. They either say "buy" or "hold". Hold is the same as sell. Very bad news for Viasat.
Rumors on rehire ineligibility
I heard some rumors that those who took part in the VRP are considered ineligible for rehire. Any truth in this ?
Prediction on a good old MD’s monologue to please the masses
It will cover the following key points: ) An elaboration on our exceptional intellectual capabilities and the extensive data we possess regarding demand, emphasizing the d-mbness of customers who opt for Starlink. ) A detailed explanation of... — read more

Crickets
Shouldn’t they have at least scheduled an all hands to discuss earnings by now? Maybe they are too busy planning the next riff or selling off part of or the entire company.
Elon has already beaten Mark
Nothing left but guiding ViaSat to it's ultimate crash site. But Mark couldn't do it alone, he had help along the way from a lackluster exec and upper management team incapable of the disruptive and innovative ideas they claim on their motivational... — read more

The market didn’t like the Earnings show
Here’s what I heard: *VSAT just invented “Monetization” to save us. So we have to believe an Amazon or a Starlink wouldn't be good at that, would they? *New CFO says that VSAT will delay “projects not essential for customers”. Like, we have so many... — read more
How long until $5/share?
My guess is $7 by eoy, and $5 sometime in first half of next year
I really don't like how Viasat handles talent mobility, promotion and etc.
This is 100% on pathetic PNC And since hiring / promotion process is not fair anyway, F it, let managers pick whoever they want, at least it's not wasting other people's time! It really is all about who you know, not what you bring to the table... — read more
November 6th is the day
And no I’m not talking about the election results. If you thought we’ve had layoffs before, from tomorrow onwards it’s going to be really, REALLY ugly.
Can Viasat get everyone engaged and believing?
I left Viasat prior to Guru’s hiring and went to lunch with a bunch of former colleagues that stayed behind. I was astonished that all of there motivation and drive has deteriorated much more. The vitriol they spewed on how Guru and MD have deceived... — read more
3 years ago today
On my own, I punched out three years ago today. So glad I did. I’m sure it added years to my shelf life and time to spend with my kids. If I can offer you any advice at all. There is life after Viasat, take the Lump Sum, manage your own portfolio and... — read more
Hoping to get the axe before the end of the year.
They have somehow been managing to overlook me. I just want to take my severance and be gone.
Job advertisements on LinkedIn
Viasat sure has a bunch of jobs posted on LinkedIn. Seems kind of sh---y to have people waste their time pursuing them.
When faced with this stage of the declining businesses (res, av, maritime) that may be holding back one or two performing businesses (gov)….
Companies will spin out all the cr-ppy businesses into an independent HoldCo that lives separately. Think back when Qualcomm spun all their spectrum assets into a separate company (read as all the spectrum debt magically left their books). Or... — read more
Here is what they pay Guru $20 million to come up with and the future
They need to raise cash to pay down debt and make their next move/pivot. They will look to do "non-core asset monetizations". In other words, sell off parts of their defense business. They need to launch F2 and F3 Successfully. This will allow them... — read more

Who are all of these trolls?
There’s just far too many of them who come here to defend the indefensible. Either Guru & MD are truly is paying these people to defend him, or we have a lot a holes with nothing better to do.
Seriously
Hey, so, what do you think is gonna happen next? Like, everyone knows about the problems Viasat's facing, right? The stock price is tanking, and there's no clear plan for how to fix things. I'm not worried about the stock price as much as I'm worried... — read more
MD will be another case study of how a founder failed to spot and act on a market inflection
Rather than take Andy Grove of Intel’s “the paranoid survive” approach, he is so sure that it is always a case of “the answer is GEO, what’s the question”. Ridiculous technical arrogance and risk that has incurred eye watering debt resulting in an... — read more
Earnings this quarter will be fine
Do you think United just immediately pulled the plug on all Viasat services? F1 came online and started generating revenue and working through the backlog. I would say earnings will probably beat. Do you think Rick Baldridge would just throw $825k of... — read more

Regretting joining Viasat?

Most of ya'll have no idea what you're talking about, and have been blabbering the same thing for YEARS. Get out if you don't like it here - Viasat will be better off without you.
Anyone that comes on this site and says morale is high at viasat is highly misinformed

Viasat to report earnings Wed Nov 6
It must be really bad if they want the news to be buried by coverage of the election. By the way, back under $10!!!
I was laid off today
