@226 Please elaborate. Which groups are being forced to move early? This is open to all. Please respond with group name and must move timing.
I'm not gonna make it till then!
That would explain why they moved up the deadline to move Lakeside jobs to Houston from 2028 to 2027 to 2026 in some groups... they can get rid of more employees without paying them severance. It's shady and completely unethical but that's the new Chevron.
@vn hoping this will be the case! I’m certain this time around more people will voluntarily AEOI!
@gp you might be right, it calm down .
Is 2028 a guarantee at this point?
(Existentially... anyone been tracking the ME at this point and the secondary effects?)
Focus on the here and now and on what you can actually control.
Company management is gonna do what it's gonna do and that's outside of our sphere of influence.
You'll sleep better...
I have money on the announcement coming in November telling us there will be another event in 1Q27. They love giving us bad news going into the holidays. ENGINE is scheduled to be fully operational by the end of the year, we’ve gone all in on AI; the workforce outside of India will be slashed by another 30%+.
Chevron offers one of the worst severance packages in the industry. That said, competition is dwindling as mergers increase, so job security and benefits will suffer wherever you go. If you can find a position that suits you, with location, pay, benefits and workload that appeal to you, I wouldn't let the possibility of severance be the primary factor for you taking it or not.
Exploration will have one next month!
ABU SCM manager said last year 2028 was the next one so my money is on 2027.
What a stupid post!!! Lots of uncertainty in so many facets with any 3 year prediction in our industry. This is just a d-mb comment by someone wanting to stir up something out of nothing or an id--t.
Why would they need to go through that process when it will be at least 10% out the door every year from here on out?
Mike will want to get in one last layoff before retirement. After retirement he will be in withdrawals from the excitement of laying people off.
I heard 2027.
I heard the same rumor. i started it.
Do you honestly think this leadership plans that far ahead?
