Hearing rumors that another opportunity to AEOI with an actual severance package (2 weeks for every year of service) might be available in 1Q 2027. Anyone hearing the same? Can anyone confirm?

There are still people on the books that are in the severance process but their last day is toward the end of the year, so that 2k reduction is understated. Only those that wanted to leave early and were supported by their manager and those that were deemed unnecessary have exited.
It doesn’t matter who we are.
What matters is our plan.
Anyone is allowed to leave at anytime… don’t wait for “EOI opportunity”. Get on with life.
If looking to not trigger a potential red flag for future employers, the standard courtesy notice remains “2 weeks”. This is more than enough time for a competent organization.
If an organization asks for more time than 2 wks, that’s a signal that they are not a competent organization, but perhaps “short term cash rich” specific to a reorganization plan. What a company gets ROI for that incremental time from the leaving employee is the crux… and this is where the management consultants add value or su-k value. Either way, the money/budget was spent.
We’ll get it right next time.
Why do ex employees lurk on this page
Didn't take AEOI in 2025... wanted to see what the organization was going to look like first. Didn't see a place for me and EOI'd while there was the opportunity to still do so. In hindsight looks like it was a good decision... wasn't sure initially.
Everyone has their own circumstances and choices to make. As "pie in the sky" as this might sound, hopefully the individual employee and COMPANY can some to a mutually agreeable win-win upon departure of an employee.
Took mine in 2025….there are those that keep waiting!!!
Likely not happening before 2030
We're slated to pick up more rigs in S&T. We're not going to have a reorg this year or next year at least.
If you look at Annual report supplement, total number of employees [excluding has station] has only decreased by less than 2000 in net relative to 2024. ENGINE was about 1000 new addition give or take for 2025. So out of targeted ~8000 headcount reduction, another 4000/ 5000 is on the books for this year. There will be headcount adjustment to legacy Hess by year end along with some other reorg in S&TB.
Not gonna happen
You should have taken it in 2025. Why are people so greedy to wait?
No way they offer this. Or at least not broadly. They know theyd hemorrhage below a critical mass of staff.
Total BS and a fake posting. If you live with rumors you die with rumors!
Please...pretty please offer an AEOI !
Fake news. Run along, upset little children. Everyone has to work for a living.
Layoffs are coming q3/q4 this year due to ENGINE acceleration - so it’s true
PLEASE dear God, let this be true! Get me the heck outta here.
Please be true, no hesitation.
