@10q Agree. The compensation planning starts on Feb 2, so it makes sense there is one mid month to approve. The payout info. will be available earlier than normal.

Still think there’s a reason it’s all being pushed up. We’ll see…

@zj possibly because we are private, possibly because he’s a buffoon

Changes are creeping down to subsidiary Luminare as well. They are moving upper management around to cover multiple sectors apiece. One director is leaving after decades in the company.

Things seem so off, but you can’t put your finger on it. Years ago, we got gift cards for Christmas. The last few years, we got bonus Stellar points. This Christmas we got absolutely nothing. We got an email about an all employee meeting in March. Trying not to be anxious about it, but also realistic.

@10g that is typically for new goals and budgets. Organizational changes would have already been in the works since their last two meetings.

@zj That is not true as Ascendiun is not a public company. Would have been priceless to see Maurice there

@qf he wasn’t I believe because the other CEOs are from publicly traded companies. We are private.

@jz shuffling around the clown car won’t make meaningful change though- just different seats for the clowns.

@r3 we need to be kinetic and intentional with our excellence while facing financial headwinds (like my ceo pay) all while revenue streams are being cut across all lines. We need to make sure we upskill employees until we don’t need them and then we’ll deploy cost saving measures and let them go at Christmas time to save financials. We’ll set unrealistic goals like cigna integration with a measurement of 200% which nobody understands. Everyone will get paid 0 on their bonus for this. But when you make $40 million who needs a bonus.

Does this mean layoffs or not?

@jz the Healthspring acquisition was a disaster and Collective Health is another. We need people in charge who actually can make good business decisions. The C suite we have is the F team. .

@qf I’m sure Congress expects more than “ next slide” or “ please clap” from a CEO.
Maurice cannot speak unless it’s written for him and he has cue cards.

@nd would have been incredible to see Maurice answering to congress like the other top CEOs last week.

@jz Their plan to be a top 5 insurer was to pay their executive team millions more than the other 4 nationals ahead of them. Not invest in anything other than themselves.

@OP They have to make major changes to survive and compete given the market and regulatory changes. They sc--wed up over the last several years.
