RV sitting there replying to VP/SVP questions with his 36k Rolex panda. Must be nice.

There must be bots in here, the same ones that reply with exactly the same sentence under mysource articles about how great a new tree planting day was 3 continents away.

I think this 'merit' period will be the bloodbath RV wants regarding attrition. Then AI will be the death knell for whatever remains, the great white hope which massively fails.

@b9 My last three yearly raises have been 9.42%, 2.25%, and 8.09%. So if you're only getting 1-2%, there's a problem there.

No more purchased vacation, but they're basically giving an extra week.

Essentially, instead of getting 3 weeks and buying one, we're getting 4 weeks.

Seems good to me.

Nobody is going to ‘answer’ anything real at these ask me anything performances. It’s all a rehearsed show. Nothing new under the sun.

@m6
There is also another unbearable and interminable Dermie P-O-M fest on Nov. 10th.
We should plan on asking there too since it does impact projects and work in general since no one except upper management is happy.
Would love to see Dermie’s elphatine head turn red while explaining / lying this one away.
Also want to ask Dermie why in the world is P-O-M looking for AI P-O-M related leadership roles in NYC or Pittsburgh (LOL pitt, Don’t you believe it!) that pay between 150K to 273K with full vacation and benefits to start???? Don’t we have enough ‘Leadership’??? And why can’t we ‘tighten a leash’ by promoting from within instead of going outside to bring in yet another narcissitic know nothing micro manager who talks and mouth fa.rts all day????

@kd I heard the same thing with it being pulled and also got told our comp numbers are looking less than last year. I inquired how if everything is up ? And was told our department "asset servicing" was not very much under budget so we are getting less.

@k6 I heard its not being offered this year, like other years. Or if they give us something it will be 1 week versus 2. They are doing whatever they can to make us miserable and leave.

Well if ya all spent more time buying shares and less time arguing, we could end 🐦 if we dumped the sh-t out of the stock simultaneously, but ya all d-mb.

Fu-k this. As long as stock is flying, 🐦 will do whatever the fu-k he wants, plain and simple. Deal with it, they are silently trying to make people leave and forced ratings are back, offices are getting shut down, people are asked back in the office and others are being asked to go work from some sh-t office as well. Not to mention ya all fu-kwits have been training the AI that will replace you in a year or two and you think you have increased your productivity because you provided a neat AI-generated end-year review.

Want impact? Stop using ELISA, dump shares.

When the first rolled out Work from Anywhere, it was technically “work from anywhere but home”. I remember when they met with us using Webex and only could ask questions in the private chat. Then again, we were just coming back from Covid and if you recall, many of our execs were staying at their second home (CFO broadcasting from Miami Beach, Pershing lead from his A frame Ski Chalet, etc). It was never meant for the common people among us (me included) to spend more time away from the office, it was intended for our execs to spend more time in their vacation home.

Your points are all valid on that mor-onic lout ej+1k8k2z46a so no need to exert yourself.
This ej+1k8k2z46a is the epitome of how badly Robin and directs are failing BNY, the clients and our business. Why? Because ej+1k8k2z46a
Is undereducated, disrespectful, mentally unstable, sociopathic and manipulative. Exactly the type of low grade, cheap human gar.bage that passes for a BNY entry level hire these days. ej+1k8k2z46a Is just further proof of how low this company has gone and how it is failing with 4th rate needy baby hires.

The company is already bad enough, let’s not fight amongst ourselves.
The only thing that matters is no action they take is for our good, and the best option is to eventually leave.

You continue to hide behind excuses that this place was not always bad when the truth is that you are lazy and have zero skills outside Bny.
And yes, i’ve been here for 1.5 years and will leave as soon as I’m fully vested in my 401k.
You don’t switch jobs because you can’t and not because you don’t want to.
I bet you are one of those who brings donuts every morning to make up for the fact you are just not good enough.

@bc you can easily maximize your time using sick and caregiver days. Being about to use caregiver time at 4 hours makes for great half days!

BNY culture at its finest. Struggling with the reduction of community volunteer days as they truly allowed us to serve our communities and to “thrive together” while powering our culture. Not to mention the reduction in volunteer hour matching dollars being reduced from $25 per volunteer hour to $10 per volunteer hour.

Another sad day for us.

@bh+1k8k2z46a Was trying to figure out the reason for this. Back in the day before this online system at least in my department, we didn’t accrue the floating holiday until we hit the date of the holiday. So Veterans Day and Columbus Day had to happen first for us to have earned those days. .

@ay and if you’re making such a stupid comment then you are too. Bny wasnt always a sh-t fest for those of us here 20 years. Bet you havent been here even 5 to have an opinion about us

I'm surprised nobody mentioned this yet, the reason the 3 personal days are moving to vacation days is that personal days "vest" on January first whereas vacation days accrue over the course of the year. So now if you leave mid-year you are no longer entitled to them.

Why not? Instead of spending time at watching TV, we are easing our way into making new business, new hobbies, new technologies at YOUR expense. And for that we are getting paid - hefty sum also.

Think about it. I could be at home doing nothing. Whereas I get salary to go to work, do nothing. How can one beat that?

Dead end job ensures that I do not have to break my back. 1% increase is great when I know that paycheck itself a bonus. Nothing can beat this.

And I do challenge you to find an equivalent job with higher wages in NYC in this environment .. even if you pad your resume with falsified AI experience

Meanwhile I am enjoying my latte and spend 8 hours, socializing and getting PAID for that.

It sounds like you US folk are the one's getting short changed.
We don't have sick day entitlement in EMEA, in my location you're paid regardless. I am however quite p**'d off about losing 2 days WFA so I'll just ensure I take a couple of sick days to compensate.

@b5 still gotta go to office 4 days a week! And work a dead end job with 1 to 2% merit a year. Enjoy ! If you cant find a job in NYC or another city right now you are definitely worthless , so keep milking the system.

Oh My God - you "out"ed us.

But did you realize until we say "quits" you are paying us 100s of thousands with benefits for us to walk in swipe, have coffee, gossip, put on our headsets and participate in meetings, enjoying our time here?

One (RV) can frustrate only who can get upset. We are bidding our time, waiting for Soc Sec/Severance and making a paycheck for enjoying retired life as BNY paid employee

They even pay us bonus vacation time, volunteering time, WFA

We are not expected to grovel, brown nose to "advance" our careers, if such a thing exists in BNY. But you have to, to make a paycheck. Almost all the "oldies" have minimal liability and huge sum in IRA to back us up.

We are having fun at your expense. We are eating into your bonus pool.

And EC knows unless we teach you, you cannot even do the bare essentials. They are not dump as you believe.

BTW, we also get 5% of the stock price off and hefty 401k - we get paid large sum thanks to our tenure.

Per the FAQ, someone with over 20 years who already has 25 days plus the 3 FH keep all 28. So basically, if your current alotted time is greater than what you would receive under the new policy, you are grandfathered and keep what you currently have.
