Taking mental sick days is my new norm here. They fu-k with you to the point everything is not okay and I need time to calm my nerves. This is the first time I’ve felt like this in the 19 years I’ve been here.

@n2 As illegal as it is, they still did it. That’s how dirty they are. These people know no boundaries.
@k2 as much as I detest the leadership at this place, I have to agree.
They're d-mb but they're not THAT d-mb. It is not easy to let someone go (outside of layoffs) because the bank wants the paperwork shored up. I'd guess if someone was let go during FMLA there is far more to the story considering it would be super illegal and they would absolutely lose a lawsuit if they didn't have an actual reason.
@k1 Do not apologize. Do not explain. Do not make this in to a drama. Just take a sick day every 6 weeks. If your manager has a problem with the frequency of taking a sick day then call in sick for 2 days every 12 weeks. It is a part of your compensation. It could impact your promotion but we all know those do not exist here anymore.
@k1 It IS illegal. Period. No HR would be foolish enough to mess with it. Seems like there is more to the story here.
@jy Yes it used to be illegal but this HR did that as they do many unethical things lately. Just look at how they are rolling out all changes. In reality all of this is illegal. People need to fight like he-l.
@jr that's illegal isn't it??
@jd Our department got rid of a person on FMLA. Yeah they are also doing that.
File FMLA and give yourself a break.
Taking my day tomorrow. Been juggling 3 jobs since they laid off people. You guessed no salary increase. I’m burnt out.
Yes I talked to bunch of people in the office and they are sitting at 80 sick hours. I reminded them you can call off sick every 6 weeks and be good
I need mental weeks off. Upper management is sick in the head.
