Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

War is over?

Seems like the pace of posts has slowed down this last week. Is Thanos Srini done snapping his fingers? My group was told before the holidays that this wave would be done by end of January.

He scheduled his next all hands for the end of February. Anyone going to submit questions to the SLT?

Anyone else start work every morning thinking about how much it su-ks to work for this sh!t company and wish you could work somewhere else? The only solution is to leave and /or start your own company... Tmobile won't be changing anytime soon

NJ layoff 4/2 effective date is not in NJ WARN notice 2026 thus it might be less than 50 employees. So there is more to chop in June for 9/2 layoff effective date. No notice in other states except WA too. It seems Layoff has become an ordinary event twice a year since 2021 or 2022. What should be the overall company profit margin when layoff is once and for all completed?

@j1 If they want you to train your replacement, charge them double.

49 (Remaining States) x 99 (No WARN/Unreportable Layoffs) = 4,851

393 + 4,851 = 5,244

5,244 ≠ 10,000

@jk No this number is only for Washington State. My state doesn't require a WARN notice if it under 100 employees being affected.

@jk this # is WA only … anyone see warn notices in OP or TX? And remote folks outside those states won’t get a WARN notice unless it’s somehow over 50

So…9,607 more cuts by March 31, 2026?

10,000 – 393 = 9,607

”10,000 getting cut”
”Was just told at 3pm today 1/15 access is getting cut off for 10,000 people at T-Mobile who are all part of a mass layoff. Not sure how accurate 10,000 is but I know for a fact my ex-wife is part of this.”

Why is there so much consternation and confusion? You heard from the horse's mouth - this will continue and wrap up by end of Q1

@ja If it is a materially significant number, they will mention it to shareholders on the next quarterly call. So if you're talking 5k+ or whatever, that's something they'll be required to tell shareholders given the $$$ amounts will materially impact the companies financials and they'll need to let shareholders know, they'll probably also want to tell them because layoffs tend to improve stock price.

We really need an answer as to if we’re done or this will continue. I feels like the WARN notice is not a sign because today is the day that they had to publish it 60 days out so any additional layoffs that are coming will have a different layoff date obviously. And they’ll just publish another warn notice. I’m also thinking if they do it in these stages, then the media may not pick up on it as heavily like Amazon is.

Has anyone heard anything about the Katz org and if there’s more to come?

I'm a contractor, been here 4 years, have been given more and more projects and duties, which is fine. I'm the last PM on our nationwide decom project. My PO was extended to 12/2026 at the end of 2025. I was just told my position was being eliminated and given to US Cell employees, who have no idea how this program runs. They expect me to train these people to replace me. Yeah, that's absolutely not happening.

Not quite 10,000. Post your state WARN notice links.
