Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

What do you guys think the realistic numbers in FEB will be for WFR?

I'm thinking less than normal because NDA was pushed back a quarter.

@gd literally. They've just fired anyone who said it wouldn't work that was orchestrating. It's not like the consulting firms care that they architected a piece of cr-p

NDA is going to get pushed back a lot more than a quarter. This is just the first in a long line of f-ups on this haphazard transition.

They will cut more than 250 in France only, 100 in Italy, at 300 least in Germany

I feel you have way to high trust in leadership if you think plans will change the slightest. It'll be a bloodbath in February regardless of what's been pushed out or not.

All aboard the crazy train!

ISG could be hit hard, after some re-shuffles, there are now some AMER managers with 30 direct reports , and some EMEA with 25+..... Some VxRail guys also moving over to Powerflex support in both GEO's...

I am predicting that they will layoff 2-3k Americans and hire slightly less than that number in India.

The numbers are going to be big in February because you are starting a new Annual Operating Plan (AOP). The underlying opex / headcount assumptions were baked into that plan months back, and cuts need to be implemented as quickly as possible in the start of the new fiscal year. This is also a good time for all the reorgs and territory realignments that Dell loves to do so much.

2.1 Billion. At least that is what I have heard.

From what my manager has said the plan is to continue to lay people off until we start missing major commitments with our customers. Or in other words the powers that be are trying to break something and won't stop until they do.

Core AE here. No clue. Could be more than ever or the normal amount 6k-8k. They want to eliminate all field sales in 2 years with saleschat - my guess.
