It’s not a surplus.
It’s an offer.
Congratulations on those that can take it.

were they offered $50k like the Specials Techs were offered about 6 months ago?

The $50K number is wrong. ESRO is clearly spelled out in the D9 contract: $25K + up to 53 weeks paid.

@ef 99% of job requisitions in the District 9 AUTS (Automated Upgrade Transfer System) have been for Construction Splicers and Outside Plant Technicians. It really is the only job they are filling. Every other position lost to attrition is not being backfilled.

They need to put DEG DT’s under C&E org then surplus or force & balance them over to fill the spots needed for the surge in building the fiber/mobility network out. Two birds, one stone, easy fix. DEG work is shrinking while Construction is growing.

D3 surplus list was slim, we keep hearing about all the work coming next year. The BBB tax relief is driving more investment into capex to build the fiber infrastructure and upgrade mobility. It has been stated in a couple of quarterly financial interviews .

Heard from another tech in the C&E org that a VP stated there will be 3X the work next year vs this year and they will be looking to add more techs. No info if it the adds will be temps.

@dn were they offered $50k like the Specials Techs were offered about 6 months ago? I haven't heard anything about any NTECHs being offered anywhere. I'm hoping they offer in my area and I'm gone.

Won’t be an offer, they don’t have the money for that. That’s why they agree to have those huge packages in the contracts, never happening so they will agree to whatever.

In SoCal a crew of 4 NTECs were offered. Only one has time and age.

DEG and MSTs will be offered the ESRO package today at 10am. $25k bonus, and up to 53 weeks of pay depending on years of service. There will be no surplus.

There is no surplus only attrition. They can't afford it. That's why they've been offering the cheaper ESRO.

DEG cuz no work. Set in shade at CO napping.
NTEC, no offer. That fat was cut long ago.
